User :   I have sore tender ribs on my right side starting from right beneath my right breast and radiating downward and around to my spine. I do have fibromyalgia but have never experienced this particular pain. It actually hurts worse if I sleep on my left side which I can only explain by having no support while on the side. I am a bit worried, just had blood tests done and all were normal except vit D. My level was at 16 and the Dr. started me on a regimen of vit D3 6000 iu's a day for a month and then the dose went down a few weeks ago to 4000 iu's a day. I state this bit of information because I also have noticed white or clear fluid coming from my right breast. It is intermittent and no blood detectable to the eye.
Doctor :   hi

User :   i do have a few buldging disks in my spine
Doctor :   ok
User :   what it comes down to is that i am afraid i'm showing signs of cancer
Doctor :   NO it is not a sign of cancer

Doctor :   do you have back pain ?
User :   oh yes
Doctor :   where is it upper back or lower back
User :   cervical spine, lumbar spine, lower lumbar spine
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   this pain now you are experiencing is possibly due to the fibromyalgia and not a sign of cancer or i don't think it is because of the cervical or lumbar disc bulge
User :   it is a hereditary defect from my paternal side, many of my aunts, uncles and my father had to have treatment or surgery for it
Doctor :   ok
User :   yes, especially lower lumbar
Doctor :   presently are you on any alternative treatment for the fibromalgya apart from the medications
User :   no, i worked in physical therapy for 2 yrs so i do gentle stretches, that is about it, i know heat would help also
Doctor :   fibromyalgia does not have any cure at present and it is only preventive and supportive measures
Doctor :   pain reduction is the prime goal
User :   Yes, I know this.
Doctor :   you should continue the physical therapy especially the stretching and strengthening exercises
Doctor :   if you have pain than heat and local massage will help in easing the pain
User :   right, I am waiting just a bit for the strengthening exercises until my vid D level is higher as it causes weak muschle, i'm sure you know that, but still do the stetches
User :   muscle that is
Doctor :   vitamin D will become effective if the muscle is put into action
User :   ah, a dual treatment
Doctor :   you try to strengthen the muscle more vit D is absorbed
User :   medicinal and physical
User :   yes, i understand tha
User :   that
User :   makes perfect sense
Doctor :   ok
User :   i guess that is it then
User :   thank you very much for your consult
Doctor :   thanks for consulting health care magic
