User :   Hi For the past 4 days I am suffering from pain... I think it is sciatica... The pain in worse in my lower pelvis, very dull and stabbing. The pain is in my right buttock and runs down my leg. My right foot feels cold all the time... Should I go to my g.p or can i get over the counter medication...
Doctor :   This is clearly back pain associated wit sciatica

Doctor :   When there is scaitic it is good to know what is the reason
User :   I dont have any back pain but the pain in the lower pelvis is extremley sore
Doctor :   Disc prolapse is the common cause for nerve pinching

Doctor :   But ur history of pain buttocks and going the leg suggest me scqaitica
Doctor :   management include pain/antiinflmmatory medicines
Doctor :   If the pain is sevee , bed rest
User :   it is worse when i lie or sit down and drive
Doctor :   after the pain is better, you can start the physical theraphy
Doctor :   At this point , I will recommend you consult GP and get the proper prescriptions and if required MRI of the back
Doctor :   And then referall for Physical therpahy

User :   i had this pain a few months back also and it comes back every now and again.. I will go to the gp just to make sure it is not disc prolaspe thanks

Doctor :   Yes u have to go to GP and make sure it is not disc prolapse
Doctor :   If it recurring, steroid injections will give you great relief
