User:Some whitish creamy secretion is coming every some time which I have to clear out
User:I am currently in UK. Been here from past 1 month
Doctor:Ok. Is there any itching, pain or discomfort?
User:I have had this problem earlier also
User:no itching. pain yes when I bend and blood flows into it. Discomfort as in vision getting impaired
Doctor:Ok. Is there redness in the eyes?
User:Apart from the eye also got a swelling in the nose
User:the eye is perfectly OK
User:it is just the upper and lower eyelinds
Doctor:The symptoms you mentioned, seems more related to an allergic reaction.
User:After getting up from sleep both the eyelids kinda become stuck
User:THat is what the doctor in India had said the last time it had happened
User:But I was unable to identify what the cause was
Doctor:You may not be able to find the cause. it can be just dust. Or some specific particle in the dust.
User:Could be because of some food item too?
User:I am not allergic to anything in particular
Doctor:It can be due to food. Generally food allergies show in other parts of the body too.
User:I got swelling in the nose as well
Doctor:Though you are not allergic generally, it can develop anytime of the life.
Doctor:Swelling in the nose along with swelling in the eyes are indicative of an allergic reaction.
Doctor:So, you need to have antihistaminic tablets, and possibly you may need steroids too.
User:okay. do I need to take any medication and what precautions do I need to take?
Doctor:For the medications, it is important to visit a general practitioner. That is to make sure what the diagnosis is after an examination.
Doctor:Prescription would be required to purchase the medicines.
Doctor:As for precaution, you need to do 2 things.
Doctor:1. Always wash your face with soap on return to your room from outside.
Doctor:2. Drink plenty of water. At least 3 litres per day.
Doctor:Have you understood my suggestions?
Doctor:Is there anything I can help you on?
User:no that is all
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Let us know if you have any health related queries.
