User :   I have noticed in the last few days that my clitoris has become very, very swollen and very painful to touch. It aches a lot, sometimes with sharp pain and it is very hard. There is also pain in the vulva in the center directly above the clitoris. I am a virgin and am in college so I don't have the same resources to doctors that others do. Before this I had severe itching and what I thought was a yeast infection, but that went away and a few days later I have this. I've been taking ibuprofen for the pain and swelling. I have also noticed a whiteish discharge around the clitoris. There isn't a smell but it hurts a lot to walk around and sit down.
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Dr XXX here
User :   hello
Doctor :   Please give a couple of minutes to read your post
User :   ok
Doctor :   ok, is the discharge curdy in appearance ?
User :   I don't think so. It's just more like a mucus around the area
User :   i'm not sure if i would actually call it discharge
Doctor :   Is it normal ( whitish )in color or there is any deviation ?
User :   It isn't clear, it is whitish in color and there isn't a smell
User :   before this happened I am pretty sure I had a yeast infection as the discharge was yellow and thick
Doctor :   yeast will present with curdy discharge
User :   yeah
User :   it's not like that any more now though
User :   but there is a lot of pain
User :   I've heard of some people having to get surgery to drain liquid buildup
Doctor :   was the discharge frothy previously ?
User :   no
Doctor :   surgery is of no use
User :   ok good because as a student I cannot miss classes
Doctor :   its just temporary
User :   ok
User :   the swelling and the pain should go away on its own?
Doctor :   i consider the inflammation in the clitoris being non specific
User :   it is about 3 times it's original size
Doctor :   wait for a week till then take tab NAPROSYN 250mg twice a day after food for 3 days followed by once a day for next 3 days
Doctor :   yes, its most sensitive and soft part in the body
User :   is that an over the counter product
Doctor :   it do present with lots f pain and swelling even if mildly inflammed
Doctor :   yes , the tab i mentioned is an OTC
User :   if the swelling doesn't go down should I try to find an OBGYN
Doctor :   yes, for sure
User :   should I specifically look for an OBGYN or would a regular doctor be ok?
Doctor :   the doc would examine and put you on appropriate antibiotics
Doctor :   no, go for a OBG only
User :   ok
User :   what exactly does the NAPSROSYN do
Doctor :   its a potent antiinflammatory, it reduces the inflammation and indirectly reduce the pain and swelling
User :   what do you think is actually wrong?
Doctor :   but if the clitoris is infected then you may need antibiotics . naprosyn alone would not suffice
Doctor :   i still cannot exclude trich infection ,
Doctor :   bu there are situations where the will be non specific inflammation in the clitoris
Doctor :   but*
Doctor :   so i say wait with naprosyn
User :   ok
Doctor :   if the sweeleng is getting worse get to the OBG asap
Doctor :   swelling*
User :   ok. yeah it feels very much like the type of pain associated with a large pimple just under the skin with building pressure almost
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me, kindly provide your feedback
User :   it's that sort of tenderness
