Doctor :   Hi
User :   hello doctor
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   My kid had fallen down from the table couple of hours back. He is okay. But for a swelling behind his head.
User :   He has not vomitted or lost consciousness
Doctor :   May I know his age?
User :   3
Doctor :   And can I know the height of fall?
User :   3 feet
User :   back of his head hit the table while falling down
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Is he active now?
User :   he is playing right now. He slept for an hour and a half after falling down.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Let me brief you.
Doctor :   The swelling that you notice now, is due to the soft tissue injury.
Doctor :   Its collection of blood and the inflammatory reaction is the cause for the swelling.
Doctor :   This is a non concerning problem, however
Doctor :   its difficult to predict if there are signs of concussions in the brain without physical injuries with or without scan.
Doctor :   Let me put across in simple words.
Doctor :   Since there was no loss of consciousness and no vomiting, its unlikely to be a major head injury.
User :   looks like he feels pain when we run our hands over the swell. I hope it is okay.
Doctor :   Yes, the swelling is not a concerning problem at all
Doctor :   this will improve in a few days.
Doctor :   You need to watch out for a few symptoms.
User :   gr8. Should we be looking out for any specific symptoms in coming days?
Doctor :   Yes, Like I was mentioning, you need to look for few symptoms
Doctor :   symptoms such as recurrent vomiting, complaining of severe headaches, reduced physical activity, drowiness, episodes of convulsions.
User :   fine.
Doctor :   These symptoms usually occur in a day or two if it can happen.
Doctor :   Hence if these symptoms do not occur in the next 2 days, its unlikely that they may occur.
User :   okay.
Doctor :   However, just watch out for these symptoms for the next week.
Doctor :   If any such symptoms occur, you need to report to a doctor or an emergency centre for physical examination.
User :   fine.
User :   is there anything else Dr.
Doctor :   He may need a scan if such circumstances arise.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   Yeah, I have noted them down.
User :   I dont have any other question
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
