User :   doctor my mom is in a severe problem right now

User :   she started with a swelling in her feet and pain over there but now pain has moved upto over thighs and vest

User :   nothing else she had a blood tests as well as Urine test

User :   yes she is taking BP tablets from 3-4 years

User :   since thyroid was identified a 15 days before, so she started taking thyroxine and anipur

Doctor :   There are many reasons of Swelling on feet as Thyroid. Filariasis, Diabetes, BP. infection etc.
Doctor :   What were her blood sugar levels when detected?
User :   it was a bit high not very much high
Doctor :   Sometimes drastic increase in the sugar level also causes swelling.

Doctor :   To check her electrolytes level as sodium increase and potassium decrease can cause swelling.

User :   one more thing when she lies her legs down to floor for long hours it causes more pain
Doctor :   3)Ask her to avoid long hours of sitting, take a break every 1 hour
User :   when she lies on bed she felt relief
Doctor :   4)Ask her to Lie on back, rest feet at least 12 inches above the level of your heart for 10 to 15 minutes, three or four times a day.
Doctor :   Also long standing hours are to be avoided.

Doctor :   4)Ask her to keep her feet under cold water for 10 to 15 minutes before resting, it will provide relief.
Doctor :   Not severe as it is a acute case and knowing the cause can be handled well.

Doctor :   5)Take Black Walnut oil and add 1 or 2 drops in a glass of water. Ask her to have it 2 times a day It will help in relieving swelling.

Doctor :   It can be a reason but for confirmation the uric acid levels are to be detected, also it usually does not cause swelling in a particular area and can spread from ankle to other areas.

User :   no yesterday she went to a BHU doctor he asked to store 24 hours urine for test thats it

User :   but thyroid will not give this much of pain

Doctor :   It can be one of the cause but since i am not observing and examining i cannot comment as such
Doctor :   Have a balanced diet with more of fruits and veggies.
Doctor :   Have lots of water and fluids.
