User :   Hi,
My LMP date is 26th Jan and I am pregnant. I took first home preg test on 28th Feb and it came negative, I repeated the test after a week on 7th March and it came positive. I Got my beta hcg test done the same day and the count was 1153. Yesterday I got early pregnancy test done and only gestational sac of 10.9mm and yolk sac of 3 mm was seen.. the fetal pole was not visible yet. The doc said that I might have conceived late and have asked me to come back for a scan after 2 weeks. Though she said everything is normal I am still a little worried!
User :   anyone there?
Doctor :   Hi
User :   hello..
User :   yes.. can you please help me out with my query above

Doctor :   Ok.
User :   so is it normal?
Doctor :   Were your periods always very regular ?
User :   nopes
User :   I was always delayed by 4-5 days.. some time a week
User :   sometimes normal
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   also, what is blighted ovum? I hv read abt it and its scaring me now!
Doctor :   So this can be the reason, might be you have to wait for a week, but to be on the safer side your gynec may have called you after 2 weeks.
Doctor :   Not to worry
Doctor :   Please do not panic .
Doctor :   Do you have any abnormal pain in the abdomen ?
User :   no.. no pain.. nothing abnormal
Doctor :   Ok. That is encouraging.
Doctor :   Did they say you had a blighted ovum ?
User :   I came back really worried.. my doc also didn't say anything else.. just said could be late conception
User :   no they didn't say anything.. this I read up on my own..
User :   I read about it and got freaked out!
Doctor :   Please stay calm and do not panic
Doctor :   Are you TTC ?
User :   what is TTC?
Doctor :   Trying to conceive.
User :   yes I am
User :   that's why I am so worried
Doctor :   You are in the most essentially important period of embryogenesis
Doctor :   Please take care.
Doctor :   Do not worry
Doctor :   it usually gets delayed by a week
User :   do u think my measurement of gestational sac and yolk sac are alright if I am 5 week preg?
User :   and I read somewher that if its blighted ovum the yolk sac won't be present.. is that right?
Doctor :   Yes, if there is a blighted ovum , you get an automatic abortion in 99% of times
Doctor :   due to poor genetic material.
User :   ok
User :   and the progesterone tabs my doc gave.. what are they for?
Doctor :   The gesttational sac and the yolk sac are just 3-4 days behind schedule
Doctor :   not to worry
Doctor :   at all.
Doctor :   prorgesterone will help.
User :   okay!
User :   anything else I can do from my end?
Doctor :   If you have anything else , i might require more time to help you better
