Doctor:Deviated nasal septum can not be treated with any medicines

Doctor:but the sinusitis can be intially treated with medicines
Doctor:and if the medicines are not effective
Doctor:then you might require a surgery
User:actually when I will take med like flomist spray , anti allergic and steroid for 2 weeks
User:I feel better
User:but as soon I stop the medication it is coming back
Doctor:Antiallergic medicines will give only a temoprary relief
User:then what med should I use for permanent relief
Doctor:you need to take a long course of antibiotics
User:that also I hv tried for 1 week
Doctor:You need to take antibiotics for a minimum of 2 weeks continuously

User:I should use as antibiotic
Doctor:I would normally prescribe my patients a combination of Levofloxacin with Cefexime for 14 days
Doctor:Along with I would also add a nasal decongestant like epinephrine
User:ok, this time I am taking Cefexime 200 mg also with monket lc + Flomist
User:+ 1 steroid tablet
Doctor:That generally clears the sinusitis
Doctor:I would avoid steroids
Doctor:but each doctor has a different way of treating the problem
Doctor:if your doctor has prescribed you these medicines, please continue them
User:steroid name is cortimax 6 mg
Doctor:and please follow up with your treating doctor as advised to you

Doctor:But the problem with deviated nasal septum ans sinusitis is, sinusitis comes back because of the deviated nasal spetum
User:I think it will be followed by flomist..
Doctor:You need to take the antibiotic for 14 days

User:so for DNS should I go for surgery

Doctor:it is best to go for surgical correction of the DNS
Doctor:Once that is corrected, the chances of getting sinusitis will reduce
User:I hv seen the people with DNS problem, but they are not suffering from Cold
User:why is it so
Doctor:It depends on the severity of deviation
User:what ever condition I hv , same is there for my friend
User:but I did nt see the cold problem for him
Doctor:each individual is different
User:ok..is surgery is painfull, how much % I will get benefit..
User:in future also DNS problem can come or not
Doctor:Once DNS is corrected, it will not come back
