User:it has been happening for almost a month now
Doctor:I see. Has he been on antibiotics?
User:at the beginning of this month
Doctor:I see. Did they have any effect?
Doctor:The antibiotics?
Doctor:did they bring down the cough? Or change its character?
User:stopped for sometime
Doctor:There are 2 possibilities here.
User:the rains irritate him badly
Doctor:1) The infections has come back and is resistant to the Azitral. Not an uncommon occurrence
Doctor:2) this cough is not infectious in nature anymore and he is suffering from inflammation that typically affects people after a cough
Doctor:I see, the rain bother him, that would support possibility number 2
Doctor:There are 2 things i would reccomend as your next step
Doctor:1. Your child needs to get an x-ray done to check if there is any lingering pneumonia.
Doctor:2. He needs to be started on nebulizations. A nebulizer is a device which aerosolizes medication and allows him to breath it in
Doctor:I would recommend he start taking levolin nebs and budecort nebs on a daily basis for two weeks o control the cough
Doctor:That is if the x-ray does NOT show pneumonia. If it does, he will need another course of antibiotics.
User:yes doc
