User:I have a kid who is 2 year old (male)
User:from sometime he his having constipation problem
User:can you please recommend some medicine?
Doctor:How bad is the constipation?
Doctor:After hopw many does he get his stools
User:once in 2 days that too after doing some home remedies
Doctor:Is he taking enough fluids and food?
User:fluids, drinks water (not sure how many glasses), but food is ok, takes around 3-4 meals a day
User:sometimes for 3-4 days he doesn't go (stool)
User:and when he goes he normally has to try very hard
User:this problem is there for nearly 2 months
User:Do you recommend some medicine or should I consult Paedtrician?
Doctor:Firstly we need to avoid damage to the local area by applying some lidocaine gel when he has to go after a prolonged constipation
Doctor:If you feel that the area is bruised, then apply neosporin
Doctor:For mild constipation, try giving him prunes 2 - 3 in a day
Doctor:Prunes you can find at any grocery store in the dry fruit aisle
User:any oral medicine, syrup?
Doctor:You can try lactulose syrup
Doctor:1 tsp once or twice a day
Doctor:can also be given
Doctor:Also give him more of fatty food

User:sure, that would great help. we are very concerned about her weight
Doctor:Firstly we need to get her tested for common conditions like iron-deficiency anemia, infections etc
Doctor:These involve some simple blood tests
Doctor:High calorie foods are required in be included in her diet
Doctor:Mostly milk products like cheese, butter, ghee, ice creams, other cream containing foods, etc
Doctor:She will need regular meals
Doctor:Missing meals is the biggest factor for low weight
