Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   How can i help you?
User :   Hi ive had some chronic pain in my shoulder area.
Doctor :   Ok
User :   I can feel a small lump I can move around and its painful.
User :   Also I think its causing numbness in my arm, pain on my left chest, and headaches.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Are you there?
User :   Yes
Doctor :   Since when are you having these symptoms? them
User :   Ive had them for months, its quite normal for me actually.
User :   But when I lift weight at the gym it flairs up for a week or so.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   How big is the lump and where exactly is the lump located?
User :   i would say maybe the size of a olive give or take.
User :   Almost right on my rotator cuff I guess.
User :   On the front side
Doctor :   Have you seen a doctor for these complaints?
User :   Ive seen them for shoulder related problems.
User :   Steroid shot, anti immflammitorys and muscle relaxers.
User :   But none the less it always comes back
Doctor :   you mentioned that you notice numbness in your arms, can you specify the areas of numbness?
User :   Mainly my hand on the pinky side
User :   Then occassionally some bottom bicep.
User :   And a lot of wrist pain.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Have you got xray's or scans done on your shoulder/cervical spine?
User :   No I have not.
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Sitting at one end of the computer without performing a physical examination, its hard to what exactly is the lump and what may be causing the pain and the numbness.
User :   On the point of my shoulder its right on the front side of that.
User :   When I start messing with it it send a tingly sensation down my arm.
Doctor :   Numbness on the little finger and over the inside of the hand is caused by ulnar nerve radiculopathy which can be diagnosed only after a physical examination, Xrays and scans.
Doctor :   hence my suggestion to you is to see a doctor - orthopedician or a neurologist,
Doctor :   who after examination can diagnose the cause and will suggest you the treatment options.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   The last time I went to the doctor he said that my muscle or soemthing could be putting pressure on my nerve, but that the shot should have fixed it.
User :   Yes I have.
Doctor :   If the condition - nerve pressure is severe, then the injection may not help in treating it completely.
Doctor :   you may need more aggressive management.
User :   I use to also play baseball and was a left handed pitcher .
Doctor :   Physiotherapy, neck movement restriction along with regular antiinflammatory medications are needed.
Doctor :   Apart from this nerve conduction and EMG studies are required to determine the severity of the conditions.
User :   Could this cause pain in my chest area?
Doctor :   if they are significant, then surgical treatment may be necessary.
Doctor :   It is hard to predict this without a physical examination and without the scans.
Doctor :   Most often cervical spine problems are restricted to the upper limbs alone.
User :   Would popping my neck be a root cause of this?
Doctor :   and the chest pain may not be related to the hand numbness and pain.
Doctor :   Neck popping may not be the primary cause,
User :   What kind of thing would cause that?
Doctor :   however neck popping in the presence of previous neck problem can aggravate the symptoms/condition.
Doctor :   Cervical spondylosis, cervical spondylitis are the most common causes of pain the hand and numbness.
Doctor :   whereas a lump in the rotator cuff may be due to bursitis, which is totally independent condition.
User :   Would headaches in the back of my head be anything to add?
User :   Liek the two ball like things by my ears.
Doctor :   It is hard to correlate thing based on history alone.
User :   Well one day I got almost a burning pain in the back of my head/neck area.
User :   On the right side.
Doctor :   I suggest that you see a doctor, who can physically examine you and diagnose the cause of should pain/lump and the cause of numbness.
User :   Alright I guess I will call him today and set up a appointment.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   That is all thanks.
Doctor :   Pleasure
