Doctor:Do you have history of allergies/bronchial asthma/wheezing?
User:age is 28 .no diabetes..
User:yes i am suffering from bronchitis/wgeezing (strated recently ..2 months back)
Doctor:Let me brief you.
Doctor:Based on your history, you seem to be suffering with post nasal drip.
Doctor:Here the secretions from the nose drips behind into the throat leading to throat inflammation.
Doctor:This inflammation can progress downward as the problem remains untreated leading to cough.
Doctor:Post nasal drip is commonly seen in patients with pre-existing sinus problems or nasal allergies.
Doctor:One of the above therefore could be the cause. It needs to be found and treated specifically to cure your symptoms.
Doctor:That being said, patients with gastritis/reflux esophagitis can also have similar symptoms.
Doctor:Since these symptoms are seen for more than 5 days, I would recommend that you consult an ENT surgeon.
Doctor:He/she can examine your nose and throat and confirm the exact cause.
Doctor:In the meantime as you plan the doctor visit,
Doctor:my suggestions are:
Doctor:1.Use nasal drops - saline nasal drops three times a day.
Doctor:2. Try steam inhalation slowly and gradually.
Doctor:3. Gargle with warm water and salt.
Doctor:4. Try antiallergic tablets like cetrizine for 2-3 days.
Doctor:4. If cough is severe, you can try benadryl twice or thrice a day.
Doctor:6. Lastly take antacid syrup such as syp mucaine gel 1 tsp before meals thrice a day.
Doctor:These measures are only temporay fix till you visit your doctor.
Doctor:So try to consult the doctor at the earliest.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:ok ..Can you suggest any ENT surgon ?
Doctor:May I know your location?
User:kormangala . bangalore
Doctor:You can try the ENT department at St. John's Hospital.
Doctor:Alternatively I shall ask the customer support team to call / send mail about other ENT surgeons around Kormanagala, Bangalore.
Doctor:You can visit one of the surgeons.
User:ok ..thank you
Doctor:You are welcome.
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:no thank you
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
