User:Hello Doctor
Doctor:How are you doing?
User:Im XXXXXXX .. im fine
User:I needed some advise on my Heel which is giving trouble
Doctor:Sure. Go ahead
User:The problem is ...after sitting for quite some time... whenever i step down on my left heel... it pains like anything
Doctor:Since when do you have this pain?
User:I might have got some injury while walking or stepping over
User:I think a month
User:might have picked this up during an sports event
Doctor:Was there any unusual exertion?
User:after i walk few steps... the pain goes XXXXXXX abit...
Doctor:There are a few things I would like to know here
Doctor:first, is the pain restricted to only the heel or is the whole sole of the foot hurting?
User:i am not recollecting ... ut it seems while i was getting in to the act... i stepped over on something and the heel bruised... but i did nto get time during the event to look at it
User:only to heel
User:the part which touched the ground
Doctor:Secondly, what is your height and weight?
Doctor:Are you there?
User:height is 5ft 7
User:weight is 75
User:AGe 36
Doctor:There are several things that need to be addressed here
Doctor:possible causes could be plantar fasciitis
Doctor:This is an inflammation of the layer beneath the skin of the foot,
Doctor:This could be due to trauma
Doctor:As you said, you had some injury early on
Doctor:Or we could be looking at something called a heel spur
Doctor:During the sports event?
User:yes... i think the pain started from there
User:that was a moth back
Doctor:Now , lets discuss the treatment
User:one more.. doubt... there is no possibility of puss formation right?
Doctor:First thing is that you need to rest
Doctor:It would be extremely unlikely
Doctor:First that the pain would be constant and very severe
Doctor:second, you would have fever
Doctor:Third, your foot would be swollen and red
User:ok thats not the case here
Doctor:So as far as the treatment is concerned,
Doctor:You would need to take some rest and avoid putting any weight on that foot
Doctor:Second, I want you to put an ice pack wherever it hurts the most
Doctor:You get 1 at the chemist
Doctor:Keep it in the freezer and after 30-40 minutes, apply on your foot
Doctor:Third, I want you to put some volini ointment where it hurts
Doctor:If the pain does not go away, you can use a shoe insert
Doctor:Its available at most footwear shops
Doctor:I think Scholls makes it
Doctor:and finally XXXXXXX
Doctor:You need to lose some weight
Doctor:I understand
User:yes.. i need to
Doctor:But apart from this, it has too many health benefits that you simply cant ignore
User:what shd be ideal weight?
Doctor:Around 60-62
Doctor:So for that, you would need some dietary modification and some exercise
User:any wayas... to gain weight but loose fats?
Doctor:You can start with the exercise once your pain is ok
Doctor:Lose weight, lose the fat and replace the fat by the muscle
Doctor:I want you to walk/jog/run/swim for 50 mins daily
Doctor:and as far as the dietary modification is concerned
Doctor:We have dietitians who can make personalized plans for you
Doctor:They will take your whole history, eating habits etc
Doctor:and make a plan as per your requirements
Doctor:Should I get my customer care team to set up an appointment for you
Doctor:she'll call you and take about 15 mins
Doctor:then she'll email the diet plan to you
Doctor:I think your pain will be ok in about a week
Doctor:is there anything else I can help you with?
User:no Doctor
User:thanks a lot
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me
Doctor:Our customer care team will call you for the diet plan appointment
Doctor:Bye for now
User:Thanks.. have a nic day
Doctor:You too
