User:My mother is suffering from cataract, and the vision from the affected eye is not much, or i can say she is not able to see with affected eye.

As per doctor suggestion she needs to be operated for cataract but based on her & family opinion she wants to go through operation in winter season as everyone is saying "It will be better to have eye operations in winter".
My question is what decision we should take,
1) Will it be better to wait for next 2-3 months till winter, will that not have any further impact on her eye?
2) Is there any other thing which you can suggest for time being which can benefit her?

Doctor:Give me a minute to read.
Doctor:Thank you.
Doctor:Let me assure you XXXXXX, that there are no reports which says cataract surgery should be preferred at a certain climate/weather situation.
Doctor:I am sure, the eye will resolve in the same way regardless of the time when it is operated.
Doctor:However if you would want to wait for couple of months to pass by, you can do that.
Doctor:Cataract surgeries are not emergency procedures and nothing would be lost if we wait for a couple of more months.
User:Ok sir
Doctor:And the cataract has matured enough, then surgery is the best and effective treatment to restore her vision.
Doctor:There is no alternative to that.
Doctor:Have I answered all your queries.
Doctor:Is there any other query?
Doctor:Are you there?
Doctor:Are you there?
Doctor:Are you there?
Doctor:Is there any other query?
User:there will be a lens implantation in surgery
User:any recommendation for that, and since the operation will be in my native
Doctor:The affected lens will be removed and an intraoccular lens will be placed through a small XXXXXXX made above the cornea
User:so is there any thing i should check before selecting doctor
Doctor:The cataract surgery is one of the most widely practised surgery in the field of ophthalmology.

Doctor:Since the procedure is not a major surgery and is over in a few minutes, there are no major contraindication
Doctor:but you can get her sugars checked and give her a healthy balanced diet comprising of fruits and vegetables.
Doctor:She will be able to recover from the procedure without many problems.
User:ok sir
Doctor:I do not have any other suggestions/recommendations; as nothing else exists.
Doctor:Have you followed?
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:thanks for suggestion, no other query!!
Doctor:You are welcome.
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
