User :   i have been having problems with fatigue,weakness,dry mouth and eyes,problems contrasting,and anxiety and panic attacks. i have become agoraphobic and house bound. i need some help and someone to talk to about it. im thinking i might have a thyroid problem,i recently found out my grandmother has a thyroid problem

User :   yes and i was told they were ok,i am now getting copies of my records so i know what ok meant
User :   i have been to doctors and they dont believe its mental problem

User :   im fatigued all the time i get no rest from sleep and the panic attacks on top of that just make it to difficult

User :   no but i do have a hard time loosing weight

User :   i use to have to get these little cones in my anas to help i was little and dont remember what they were

User :   yes
Doctor :   how long has that been ? and can u explain what were the steps taken by you ?
User :   before i became fatigued and got the panic attacks.15 years? i use to go to the gym 3 times a week and i use to ride my bike at least 20 miles a day

User :   im tired all the time im weak i get no rest from sleep

User :   no
Doctor :   you might be having sleep apnea
Doctor :   due to obstruction of your airway during sleep
Doctor :   this obstructive sleep apnea , is common in obese patients
User :   why am i obese though
Doctor :   and this results in your symptoms ,mentioned as lack of rest from good sleep, persistant fatigue, sleepiness during the day
User :   dry mouth and eyes as well?
Doctor :   obesity in your case, could be due to stress induced over eating, lack of physical activity and this increases as a cyclic pattern , increasing in severity
Doctor :   yes, they can cause dry mouth and eyes too
User :   but i didnt lack activity or over eat,i do now except over eating
Doctor :   but do u follow good diet practices and avoid fattening food stuffs ?
User :   i dont eat out,i make my food. bakes chickens greans beans,i dont eat red meat very often. im not a health nut but i dont eat really bad food or alot of girlfreind eats more then me and she weighs 120
Doctor :   have u undergone testing for sleep apnea ?
User :   no

Doctor :   i would advice a lung function study and a sleep study to diagnose this condition
User :   ok i will look into it
Doctor :   once this is diagnosed, proper therapy for OSA will reduce your fatigue and improve your lifestyle

Doctor :   with regard to your anxiety and panic attacks , you will have to take some anxiolytic medications, prescribed by your doctor
User :   yup what ever
Doctor :   once this is controlled, your condition will improve, and you will be able to lose weight as well as get back to your active lifestyle as before
