Doctor:Good Evening
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:My father age is 65 years. And he is suffering from swelling of face with tight feeling over face and throat on emotion and during exertion. He underwent coronary angiogram on 28th March 2013. Sending you all the report please advice and inform the rish factor ..
User:can you able to see the attachments i have sent? bcoz i cannot see it in this page
Doctor:You cannot send attachments directly on chat.
Doctor:It may take a few minutes to reach me.
User:ok sending ..give me few minutes
Doctor:Sure. Please keep the chat window open.
User:ok dr. i have sent it
Doctor:Ok. I will be receiving it soon.
Doctor:I have received the reports. Let me go through it.
User:ok sure
Doctor:I have gone through the reports.
Doctor:The cardiac vessels seems pretty normal.
User:any risk ? life risk ?
Doctor:It says there is a constriction at the level of superior vena cava.
Doctor:It does not seem to be risky by looking at the reports.
User:ok ... so surgery needed ?
Doctor:The constriction in the vein needs to be analyzed further by the cardiologist, to see how it can be treated.
Doctor:After that only, whether surgical correction is needed, can be decided.
User:if he needs to go for surgery then can we delay the surgery till XXXXXXX ?
User:in between any risk is there ?
Doctor:That can only be decided after examining him. because his general condition needs to be seen.
User:general condition like he is suffering only with suffering from swelling of face with tight feeling over face and throat on emotion and during exertion
User:nothing else
Doctor:I mean, the treating doctor would be the best person in deciding over whether a surgery is needed. If yes, then when etc
User:no chest pain
Doctor:So I would advise not to worry at present.
Doctor:Let him take the medicines advised.
Doctor:May I know what his treating doctor said?
Doctor:Are you there?
User:he said my father need to do one surgery ..something needs to put there to clear the blockage ..
User:but he didt say that when can it be done
User:and he is going to abroad
User:so he cannot do the surgery
User:so asking if we can delay it
Doctor:Ok. In that case you need to consult another Cardiac surgeon for a second opinion.
Doctor:Also take the reports for a proper advise.
User:i think so
Doctor:Because, the block in the vein can be the cause of tightening of face and neck.
Doctor:If it is troublesome, the surgery will have to be done.
Doctor:In that case, there is no point in waiting for the other doctor to return.
Doctor:Are you following me?
User:blockage in vain can be the cause of tightening of face and neck. if this is only thing my father can wait till XXXXXXX .. but i'm worried abt any other cause
User:so i want any other opinion from blore itself
Doctor:Other cardiac findings and the general findings were normal in the reports which I saw.
Doctor:Ok. I understand your concern. But, I would advise him to visit another cardiologist for an opinion. And then, if it is safe, he would be able to wait for one or two months.
User:nway thank u so much
Doctor:Hope you understood what I said.
Doctor:Is there anything else I could help you on?
User:nothing else rightnow
User:thanks once again
Doctor:Fine. Thanks for asking at XXXXXXX
Doctor:Please let us know if you have any health queries.
Doctor:Have a Nice Evening!!
User:same to you
Doctor:Wish your father an early recovery..
User:thank you so much and hope so
Doctor:Bye for now.
