User :   Can u tell me about the dog bite,and how to handle it,is it a very serious problem?
Doctor :   dog bite, if the dog is a known and immunized against rabies, then nothing much to worry.
Doctor :   only a bite from a dog that is infected or carrying the rabies virus will be serious
Doctor :   if the dog is immunized, then only a tetanus vaccine will be required
User :   my son was bit by a stray dog,so i do not know whether the dog is immunized to rabies or no
Doctor :   if not, then the 'post exposure' vaccination for anti rabies should be taken

Doctor :   when did the dog bite hapen?
Doctor :   wash the area with running water throughly, do nor close the area, and take to the nearest hospital/emergency room and give him the anti-rabies shots
Doctor :   if possible keep the dog that bite him under observation
