User:he really lost his chubby look and weight
User:he is looking very thin and week due to no feeding
Doctor:So what you are giving him now?
User:the doctors told that they diagnosed some RS quantity in his motion
User:he has started eating all solid rice, idly, fruits, good life milk
User:however, just wondering! is there any food that you can recommend equally; i know not fully, replace mother's milk
Doctor:He can be given any food which he is able to eat.
User:some good food or energy drink that can make him regain his weight...
Doctor:As you said, there is no food which can replace mother's milk.
Doctor:Please do not give him any energy drink.

Doctor:He can eat meat and fish.
User:i read it as please give him ed:-)
User:any meat like chicken and mutton
Doctor:I can understand your thoughts.
Doctor:Yes, chicken and mutton can be given. In small amounts.
Doctor:Any food you introduce to the child, has to be started in small amounts. And you have to see whether he tolerates it.
Doctor:If he is not able to tolerate milk, then better would be to avoid it.
Doctor:Please do not worry about the loss of the chubby looks of your baby.
Doctor:It will come back.
Doctor:You just have to follow certain things.
Doctor:- Give him water or fruit juices often.
Doctor:- Keep him well fed, with the normal food adults are having.
Doctor:- Do not start a new food item suddenly. It has to be gradually introduced.
Doctor:- Fruits like apples and oranges gives lot of vitamins and minerals for the child.
Doctor:Are you following me?
Doctor:Hope I have been of some help to you.
User:We are giving him Papaya as well. Is it ok to give?
Doctor:He should have at least 3 solid meals a day.
User:OK doc, thanks a lot. I am more worried about his weight, though.
Doctor:What is his weight now?
User:should we stop giving him cerelac and Nestum since we have started giving him rice and other solid food
Doctor:It is fine to stop them.
Doctor:Stop gradually while replacing it with normal food.
User:he was 9 Kg before his diarrhoea at 10 months
User:we have not checked it after that
Doctor:What was his birth weight?
Doctor:I will tell you something.
User:how does that sound?
User:sure doc
Doctor:There is no correct measure that baby should be of this weight by this age etc.
Doctor:Roughly a baby may weigh around tripple his birth weight at an age of 1 year.
User:if so, his weight is perfect i believe
Doctor:Whenever a baby gets an infection like respiratory infections, fever, diarrhea etc, the baby loses weight.
Doctor:That is normal.
Doctor:Again, when he is free of infection, if he is given normal food, he will gain weight.
User:I get the message
User:Thanks a lot for your help doctor
Doctor:So, be relaxed.
Doctor:Enjoy the kid's play.
Doctor:Hope I have been able to clear your doubts.
User:definitely, thanks a lot
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
