User :   i have a 6 months old son

User :   we have stoped mother feed just now and stated solids
User :   cerelac and NAN1

User :   he is passing stools once in 3 days
User :   and its very smelly

User :   Does hehave any other symptoms also as vomitting?
User :   no he is very normal
User :   Since when is he passing stools in 3 days?

User :   Is it after giving solids only?
User :   since last 1 month
User :   he passes once in 2 to 3 days
User :   Has it started after giving solids or was it present before as well?
User :   before also he used to pass stools once in 3 days
User :   Some babies do have constipation after solid food intake.
User :   so what should we do now
User :   1)Do not feed the cereal for a week.
User :   2) Give apple juice
User :   ok
User :   3) Feed oatmeal or barley cereal instead
User :   4)Best fruit and veggies during constipation are pears, peaches, apricots any any green vegetable
User :   can we give cows milk 50% diluted with water
User :   5)Offer water more frequently
User :   Do not try cow milk right now.

User :   6)Try some diluted prune juice through a sippy cup.
User :   he is not drinking water propery
User :   7)Once baby's stools become more regular again, start adding some of those starter foods again, but in smaller amounts, and less often
User :   he keeps on spiting if we force feed water
User :   8)If he is not taking water make home made ORS by adding 1 tbsp salt and pinch of sugar in 1 litre of water, give this frequently.
