User :   Hello
Doctor :   hello
Doctor :   i am
User :   I have a question regarding an stomach ache i had a couple days ago.
User :   Let me fill you in on a little background.
Doctor :   sure please go ahead
User :   A couple of weeks ago, when i would work 4-8 hours a day, and go to school for 4-5 hours, i wouldn't eat anything from that time. I would usually just drink a soda, or drink water. Exactly 6 days ago, i worked an 8hour shift, and at that time, i was extremely hungry, but i only managed to take a 15minute break and eat a small bag of peanuts. When i got home, i felt extreme hunger, and i ate very fast. The next day, 5 days ago, i ate some minor food like cheese broccoli pastry, and some cookies, and when dinner came, i ate a fast food restaurant burger, and that's when i experienced this weird ache in my stomach. I ignored it and simply just went to sleep.
User :   The next day, i had the same stomach ache, and i told my mom about it, and she told me its from not eating right, and advised me to eat a full meal, so she made me a steak and salad dinner, i finished it all and felt great afterwords.
Doctor :   ok
User :   The ache seems to appear in my lower belly button area, and it's more of an ache, no sharp pains at all. When i eat spicy food, it seems to irritate my stomach though, so i am avoiding spicy food right now. Yesterday, i didn't eat from 1-5pm, due to school, and when i got home i ate a hot dog, which afterwords i felt fine.
User :   I was constipated for 3 days until yesterday, i went to the bathroom. No blood in my stool, normal color.
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   now let me tell you what you can do
User :   Today i woke up having to use the bathroom again, no signs of pain at all, no signs of irregular color, my stool just seemed natural. I woke up today with no stomach ache at all, just hunger, so i made myself chicken noodle soup, piece of toast, and some chicken, with ginger honey tea.
User :   Okay doctor.
Doctor :   to begin with
Doctor :   i want you to get PRILOSEC 20MG tab twice a day
Doctor :   you can get it from your local pharmacy
Doctor :   for 14 days
User :   But, i woke up with no stomach ache, just hunger, does it seem like i am getting better? i have been eating more.
User :   I have talked to 4 doctors on here, and all of them told me to just eat regularly, and i will feel better very soon.
Doctor :   thats a good sign
Doctor :   and yes thats right
Doctor :   eating healthy is the key
Doctor :   and make sure you walk for about 10 mins after your meal
Doctor :   that will aid in proper digestion
Doctor :   also add YOGURT in your diet
User :   Yes doctor, i will be sure to do that. And i was constipated for 3 days, and yesterday i used the bathroom with no problem, then today i woke up, and naturally my stomach tells me to use the bathroom with no problem, is that a sign of me also getting better?
Doctor :   yes it is
Doctor :   well you have nothing serious dont worry
Doctor :   its just that we need to respect our body
User :   Okay, the doctors told me not to eat anything fatty, right now i made some chicken noodle soup, toast, and a piece of fried chicken, is that okay to eat?
Doctor :   yes and avoid spicy food
User :   Okay, so my symptoms are getting better? I ate before my ache started, and i haven't experienced any aching today.
Doctor :   yes you are on your road to recovery
User :   Phew, i have been overthinking the entire time.
Doctor :   dont worry
Doctor :   you will be fine
User :   Oh, so since my symptoms are getting better, should i just continue to eat normally or should i take the "PRILOSEC 20MG"
Doctor :   do take PRILOSEC for a week
Doctor :   it will help you more
User :   I don't really like taking medication if it's not needed 100%, considering i would rather have my body naturally feel better, if i choose not to take it, what will happen?
Doctor :   nothing will happen
Doctor :   but make sure you take proper care
Doctor :   and trust me yogurt is really good
User :   Oh, i am also lactose intolerant, so i take this little pill every time i eat dairy, its called "Lactase Enzyme", and the other doctors told me to avoid eating dairy products right now so yogurt is still okay to consume?
Doctor :   well in thats case
Doctor :   NO
Doctor :   i do want you take the medication for a speedy recovery
User :   Okay, is ginger honey tea going to help with the recovery as well?
Doctor :   sure it will
Doctor :   it will soothe your stomach
User :   Is it okay to consume more then 1 cup of ginger honey tea?
Doctor :   yes
User :   Okay, thank you doctor.
User :   When can i start eating regular foods, such as, spicy foods, dairy?
Doctor :   well in about 2 weeks time
Doctor :   you will be back to normal
User :   Ah okay, oh and one of the doctors told me NOT to consume soda like Sprite, or 7-UP due to having CO2?
Doctor :   Avoid spicy and fried foods because they aggravate the symptoms. If possible take few small meals several times in a day, instead of large ones. Avoid alcohol, smoking, carbonated beverages, tomato sauce, onion, garlic, citrus fruits
User :   What about "Grape Jam" on toast?
Doctor :   yes you can have it
User :   Really, garlic? I thought garlic kills bacteria in the stomach?
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   but not when you have high acid
Doctor :   later youc an
Doctor :   can **
User :   Oh, okay.
User :   Yeah, i feel a lot better then i did, also i think the reason why it lasted so long is due to me over thinking, over stressing, and being paranoid about this entire stomach ache.
Doctor :   dont worry
Doctor :   i can understand your concern
User :   Heh, thank you for understanding doctor. Oh, and you mentioned not to eat "tomato sauce", why is that?
Doctor :   we just want you to avoid the food that have a tendency to irritate the lining of your stomach as your stomach is still in its healing process
Doctor :   once it is then you can eat everything but then again in moderation
User :   So technically, did my stomach build up to much acid considering it had no food to digest, so it damaged my stomach with the acid?
Doctor :   yes thats correct
Doctor :   dont worry i assure you will be fine
User :   So right now, my stomach is actually healing itself? Similar to a cut on your finger type ordeal?
Doctor :   just follow my advice
Doctor :   very true
User :   Oh i will doctor, I'm going to follow any to all advice i can get to make myself feel better.
Doctor :   thats the spirit
User :   Oh doctor, if you may answer this question...Like i said earlier, i was constipated for 3 days until yesterday, and then today i naturally had the urge to use the restroom, what caused this constipation, and what caused me to naturally go to the bathroom today?
Doctor :   the whole gastrointestinal system is connected ... so its just the body way to let you know things were not ok
User :   But me having to use the restroom today, means that its getting better
Doctor :   it sure is , the body defense mechanism is great
Doctor :   we just need to respect it
User :   Yes doctor, i found out the hard way, funny thing is, the day i got the stomach ache, my brother was telling me "Not to starve myself during work, or i will have to pay for it in the long run", i guess this is what he meant.
Doctor :   we all learn from our mistakes
Doctor :   well you will be fine now
User :   Doctor, out of the 4 doctors i talked too, you have helped me out more. Thank you.
Doctor :   take good care of your self
Doctor :   i am glad i was able to help you
User :   Oh doctor, today for dinner, i am going to be eating chinese food, what would you think is easiest to digest for my stomach, pork, beef, chicken, or seafood?
Doctor :   well do avoid as it does contains lots of oil
Doctor :   its just a matter of few days and then you can enjoy all you want
Doctor :   chicken is the easiest to digest of all
User :   Oh okay, because my parents own a Chinese restaurant, and i go to a college that's 5minutes away from my restaurant, so it's a good way of getting a good meal there, you don't recommend me eating there today?
Doctor :   yes i am afraid skip it today
Doctor :   the main aim is to get you all fixed ASAP
Doctor :   and you are already recovering
User :   Yeah, so what do you recommend me eating for dinner doctor?
Doctor :   so lets speed it up
Doctor :   i will suggest you to go mild and light , some vegetables and chicken will be good for you
User :   Like, roast chicken?
Doctor :   yes that you can
User :   I just finished my chicken noodle soup, and 2 pieces of toast with jam, and i feel great.
Doctor :   well thats the way to go
User :   There is a market here called "Vons", which they sell roast chicken, but it also has a lot of fatty oils, so i don't know if that will be to hard or okay to consume? What about steamed fish with steamed ginger and onion? Which of course, i could remove the onion since you don't recommend it right now.
Doctor :   yes
User :   So steamed fish with ginger sauce will be okay?
Doctor :   steamed fish is a great combination
User :   Ah, okay, perfect.
Doctor :   make sure you do walk around little after every meal
Doctor :   we want a proper digestion
Doctor :   and you will be fine in no time
User :   Actually doctor, at 1:30, i have a final test to take, so i will be walking in my school campus to get there haha.
User :   Oh doctor, how much water should i consume with this ache?
Doctor :   well make sure you consume 7-8 glasses every day
Doctor :   thats really good for you
User :   Okay doctor.
Doctor :   i wish you a speedy recovery
User :   So, i should be feeling good in no time, i haven't had any aches at all.
User :   today.
Doctor :   take care of your self
Doctor :   yep
User :   Thank you doctor, you really have helped me relax more.
User :   I thought something serious was wrong with me.
Doctor :   no dont worry
Doctor :   you are absolutely fine
Doctor :   take care
User :   So it's normal for an ache to last this long, 5 days?
Doctor :   yeah it can
Doctor :   in fact more in many cases
User :   Oh doctor, i forgot to say this.
Doctor :   tell me
User :   When i used the bathroom today, it wasn't any aching, just a natural feeling that i had to go, so when i did, i noticed the stool was not solid, but it wasn't full diarrhea, it was not a full liquid, but it wasn't solid, is that normal? No blood in the stool, no irregular color, just a light brownish.
Doctor :   if there was no blood in the stool and no irregular color then its nothing to be concerned about
User :   So that may be caused by the process of my stomach being healed?
Doctor :   the body is getting adjusted to it
Doctor :   so thats why
User :   Oh okay, so that is nothing to be worried about?
Doctor :   no not at all
User :   Okay doctor thank you again for all your help.
User :   I am going to take a shower now, then go to class for my final. Then for dinner, i am going to eat some steamed fish with ginger sauce.
Doctor :   your welcome
Doctor :   take care and have a wonderful day
User :   Thank you doctor, you too.
Doctor :   your feedback is always appreciated
Doctor :   good bye
User :   Yes, i will put excellent!
User :   Bye.
