User :   i went to the emergency room with my 8 year old daughter yesterday
User :   she has had a stomach ache for 4 days and it has progressivly gotten worse
User :   she got a ct scan of the stomach and all it showed was enlarged lymph nodes in her lower abdomen

User :   do u think this is caused by some sort of virus.. they really dont know

User :   or is this possibly mono... she has been sooooooo tired
Doctor :   this might be retroperitoneal lymphadenitis
Doctor :   goging by your description
User :   okay thank u have been searching everything
Doctor :   most cases are idiopathic
Doctor :   which means there is no known cause
User :   she will have a repeat ct scan in 3 weeks to c if the lymph nodes have decreased in size
User :   how long does it take to go away usually
Doctor :   usually it takes about three to four weeks
