User :   Hi, I woke up 2 weeks ago with a very stiff neck. Like I couldnt move my head left, right, forward, back without any pain. I didn't have a fever or wasn't feeling very sick just incredibly stiff. I had been snowboarding over the weekend. The pain occured on a Tuesday. That weekend as well I also had unprotected intercourse with a girl who happened to be on her period. I went to go see the doctor and she gave me XXXXXXXXs for the pain. The pain has died down significantly, just on my left side of my neck/shoulder area is where there is still tension. Today though I noticed a small, I don't know to call it a rash but like a little mark under my arm that looks like some type of irritation, or a stretch mark color, and don't know what it is? Could it be Meningitis? I still feel fine, but should I be worried? What should I do?
Doctor :   hii
User :   hi
Doctor :
let me read it.
User :   ok
Doctor :
i would like to ask you few relevant questions?

User :   yes my shoulders are ok
Doctor :
can you feel a small mass like something in your neck region?

Doctor :
is the stiffness associated with headache or vertigo?
User :   yesterday i was a had a slight headeache throughout the day, i was a little tired, but i've been getting up at 6:30am everyday so my sleep schedule has changed
Doctor :
Doctor :
any signs of vertigo i.e. spinning sensation of the head?
User :   not really
User :   not really spinning
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   well it is not suggestive of Meningitis atleast.
User :   i dont know if i'm just paranoid and have an uneasy feeling, but nothing significant as where i have to sit down. but i can stand up and walk around.
User :   earlier today i was seeing stars for a second or two
User :   other than that i feel fine
Doctor :
Meningitis is inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord, known collectively as the meninges. The inflammation may be caused by infection with viruses, bacteria, or other microorganisms, and less commonly by certain drugs.
User :   any indication of what the rash could be?
Doctor :
since when are you having rash and which area exactly?
User :   just this morning, im not entire sure if it could be considered a rash
User :   but it i saw it this morning located about under about 6 inches under my arm
User :   on the side of my neck pain
Doctor :
do you experience itching?
User :   it looks a little bit like an irritation,
User :   no
Doctor :   so it is on the left side?
User :   yes
Doctor :
warm, bumpy, dry, cracked or blistered, swell or painful??
User :   just looks like a small football bruise, about the size of a nickel
Doctor :
User :   no pain or anything
Doctor :
it is still not suggestive of rash as such.
User :   right just a mark
User :   looks a little as of a stretch mark
Doctor :
The stiffness is due to postural deffect
Doctor :   you need to focus more on resting the neck and avoiding strain to the region.
Doctor :   slow clock wise and anti clock wise movement of the neck will help yo reduce the stiffness.
User :   ok, should i still use the somas?
Doctor :
XXXXXXXX is a muscle relaxer that works by blocking pain sensations between the nerves and the brain.
Doctor :   XXXXXXXX is used together with rest and physical therapy to treat injuries and other painful musculoskeletal conditions.
Doctor :
so if you still experience unbearable pain then its use is fine.
User :   ok, and as for the rash, i was reading on the glass test, should i still try it?
User :   sorry not a rash, mark
User :   i think it will just go away on its own, but i just didnt know if it is something i should be worried about or something to look for
Doctor :
do you have similar mark any where else on your body?
User :   no
User :   no
Doctor :
User :   no i do not
Doctor :
it is not something to worry about.
Doctor :
Probably it is just a stretch mark.
Doctor :
since it is not causing any other symptoms.
User :   no
