Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   How can i help you?

User :   Hi! My neck and throat are sore. What could be the cause of this.
Doctor :
throat sore is due to the inflamation of the throat mucosa
Doctor :   and for the neck it is the strain on the muscles and ligaments
Doctor :
from how many days you are suffering from this?
User :   About two weeks. At first I thought maybe it was sinus related and now it kinda feels like acid reflux. I stared taking nexium which did seem to help but now it is sore again. Some times it feels like spasms.
Doctor :   yeah acid reflex do cause chemical inflammation of the throat and cause sore throat and also the neck
User :   I am taking zoloft and sometimes ativan when needed. I took an ativan today and seemed to help that spasm feeling. I am just wonder if the zoloft can cause this.
Doctor :   zoloft do not cause acid reflux
User :   Ok.
