Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   I have had a sore throat for almost 3 weeks. I had a refill on antibiotics (Augmentin). I took them but it didn't help. I've tried allergy medicine, cold medicine, sinus medicine, throat spray, gargles, etc. I've NOT had a fever. I haven't went to the doctor because I don't have health insurance. Also I'm a 26 year old female who does smoke. I read somewhere that a sore throat that lasts two weeks or more could be throat cancer. Could I have that. Also, the first week my tonsils were badly swollen and had pus pockets. They are still a little swollen but it's mostly the roof of my mouth in the way back...it looks like the part over my tonsils..it's really really red.
