Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :
Doctor :   How can i help you ?
User :   Hi, my question is about sore and tender breasts
Doctor :   yes, please proceed
User :   my breasts have felt sore and tender, normally i can have this some days before period
Doctor :   Yes ,thats normal , its a part of normal PMS
User :   i know, but now also "outside" pms
Doctor :   oh , during what days of the cycle , is there any pattern ?

User :   i can unfortunately not see any pattern, from time to time
User :   in the past i noticed this premenstrual
Doctor :   ok, do you notice any discharge from the nipple ?
User :   nothing i have noticed until now
Doctor :   any redness over the breast or any visible veins ?
User :   oh, i don't think so, but unsure by heart
Doctor :   ok , Are you on medications , specially hormonal ?
User :   birth control
Doctor :   yes, there is one chance
Doctor :   as birth control are hormonal they cause imbalance in the blood levels of hormones hence proliferation of breast tissue and pain and tender
Doctor :   the same reason as i PMS but occurring off time due to medication
Doctor :   you may have to consult your gynecologist to change the contraception medicine
User :   ok, so this can occur even if you have taken birth controls for a while?
Doctor :   if the problem is more
Doctor :   yes,
User :   i'm very grateful for calming answer
Doctor :   you are welcome
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me , kindly provide your feedback
User :   what should i pay attention on?
Doctor :   i would consider you to be good on other types of contraception methods
Doctor :   may be barrier type
User :   ok, and try to check breasts myself now and then to be able to notice something abnormal?
Doctor :   yes, very right
Doctor :   look for any lumps
User :   do you have any good website for this?
User :   how to
Doctor :   if the lumps disappear after pain then they are normal ,but if they stay for long without regression but grow then be alarmed and get a Mammogram
Doctor :   WWW.WWWW.WW User :   ok, so you should pay attention to changes?
Doctor :   WWW.WWWW.WW Doctor :   yes,
User :   does it take long time to perform?
Doctor :   not at all , you can do it bare handed in few minutes during or after bath
User :   is it possible that you guide?
Doctor :   yes,
User :   now or at another time?
Doctor :   Any time
User :   can you see how much time i have left on my consultation?
Doctor :   but i would suggest to go through the links as they provide a good description with the pictures to explain
Doctor :   WWW.WWWW.WW User :   thank you doctor, can you see how much time i have left on my consultation?
Doctor :   Give me few seconds i will check
Doctor :   as i too am not shown the clock
Doctor :   may be 8 to 10 minutes
User :   do you have time to guide the last minutes?
Doctor :   yes for sure
Doctor :   Lie down and place your right arm behind your head. The exam is done while lying down, not standing up. This is because when lying down the breast tissue spreads evenly over the chest wall and is as thin as possible, making it much easier to feel all the breast tissue.
Doctor :   Use the finger pads of the 3 middle fingers on your left hand to feel for lumps in the right breast. Use overlapping dime-sized circular motions of the finger pads to feel the breast tissue.
Doctor :   Use 3 different levels of pressure to feel all the breast tissue. Light pressure is needed to feel the tissue closest to the skin; medium pressure to feel a little deeper; and firm pressure to feel the tissue closest to the chest and ribs. It is normal to feel a firm ridge in the lower curve of each breast, but you should tell your doctor if you feel anything else out of the ordinary. If you're not sure how hard to press, talk with your doctor or nurse. Use each pressure level to feel the breast tissue before moving on to the next spot.
User :   thank you doctor, i will try this and check your links
Doctor :   Ok,
User :   take off everything i assume?
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   bye for now
Doctor :   take care
User :   thank you for very good support
Doctor :   yes, as i said in the bathroom would be a better place
Doctor :   you are welcome , kindly provide your feedback
User :   thanks and good bye
