User :   my husband just turned 42 - he got up this morning feeling fine - he bent down and has been light headed ever since...we checked his blood pressure and it is 169 over 93 - he has been drinking gallons of fluid because we thought maybe he was dehydrating - but the dizziness is not going away

Doctor :   Is this the first time the BP is so high?
User :   honestly he hasn't had it checked in years - so i really don't know
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Give me his height and weight?
User :   i just asked him - and he said his blood pressure has always been normal
User :   his weight 230 lbs and 5'10"
Doctor :   He is over weight.
Doctor :   Does he smoke or chew tobacco/drink alcohol?
User :   he drinks beer like a fish in water, smokes like a chiminey and he has had poor circulation where as the doctors took a vein out of his leg
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Then, he needs to be examined.
User :   i have him drinking pedialite - he claims to feel much better - still a little light headed
Doctor :   Do he have any other symptoms like blurring of vision, etc?
User :   no - just his head is dizzy and he feels better if he is walking and not sitting
Doctor :   How long has it been since this way?
User :   about 3 1/2 hours
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Can you measure his BP again?
User :   no - we actually went to a pharmacy
User :   with those automatic bp machines
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Then you can go back and check it again.
User :   ok ty
Doctor :   if its is still high you can consult a GP.
