User :   Back Story: I'm 25 years old, in great health, on the birth control pill AAAAAAA in a monogamous 4 year relationship with my husband.
Problem: We were having sex this morning and not that far into it ( maybe 5 minutes after penetration) he pulled away from me and I was covered in a thick white, discharge I've never seen before that was covered with a fair amount of blood. It is not time for my period, I haven't missed any pills, and I was in no pain. It was very strange as I've had bleeding before ( obviously) and it wasn't runny it was THICK because of this mayonaise like substance it was combined with. I'm quite scared. I promptly ended the session and have been googling ever since. What could this be?? I'm wearing a pad now as I'm still bleeding a little, no other white substance, but it has lessened at bit.
Doctor :   Hi,
User :   Hello
Doctor :   Dr xxxxx here
Doctor :   Please give me some time to read your post
Doctor :   when was your last menses ?
User :   Last month appox end of july- I take my pills back to back for three months at a time to voluntarily skip periods
User :   have done that for years, and only have had breakthrough bleeding nearing the end of the third month
Doctor :   Is your partner alright ?
User :   he seemed fine, didn't have any pain
Doctor :   ok,
Doctor :   Do you see the bleeding even now ?
Doctor :   or the blood stained fluid ?
User :   it's down to a small amount. nothing like what I cleaned off myself
User :   a spotting sized amount
Doctor :   ok, so you say you have not missed the dose of the pill ?
User :   No. I've been late before, in the month previous to my last menses
User :   but never more than 12 hours and not recently- last 2 weeks
Doctor :   that doesnt affect
Doctor :   i think it might be due to minor cuts in the vaginal wall
Doctor :   since due to the pill the vaginal wall becomes thickened you didnt feel the pain
User :   really? in 5 minutes? not to be graphic but it certainly wasn't rough
Doctor :   and due to the same the secretions also get an inspissated appearence
User :   hmm
Doctor :   should not be rough intercourse always to create a small cut
User :   yeah? there isn't a chance of pregnancy or anything ? should a take a Pregnancy test to be sure?
Doctor :   i do not consider the chances of preg, but for your satisfaction you can go for a UPT
User :   ok. My husband insists cutting me couldn't have happened, things were seemingly well lubricated, but I suppose it's quite possible
User :   I've had minor vaginal cuts before and it was nothing like the amount of blood, that's my only comparison
Doctor :   the only possible and common cause i think may be of injury only
Doctor :   only that the last injuries would had not cut a good blood vessel
User :   ok well I can handle that. From what occured I was sure something was really wrong...I can take something minor like a good blood vessel
Doctor :   this time it might had hit a good blood vessel
Doctor :   blood vessel mean a vein or artery
User :   ah
Doctor :   do not worry
User :   ok well I'll follow through with the UPT to be sure. I appreciate you telling me to not worry....I do that....alot...about everything.
Doctor :   is there anything i can help you with ?
User :   I think I'm good. Thank you for your help.
Doctor :   provide your feedback
