User :   Hi i have a really quick question
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   how can I help you?
Doctor :   Dr. XXXXXXXX here. Please proceed.
User :   I randomly noticed a small bump on my penis...on the right side...about 1/4 of an inch below the shaft
Doctor :   ok
User :   ive had it before, like once or twice
Doctor :   could you describe the appearance of this 'lump' in detail?
User :   im 23, sexually active for about 6 yrs now
Doctor :   ok
User :   tiny...about the size of a pinpoint...doesn't hurt...
Doctor :   *'bump'
User :   have had it before...and its gone away
User :   like once or twice in my entire life..i dont even remember the last time ive had it...maybe 3 yrs ago?
Doctor :   ok, is it white in color or same as your surrounding skin color?
User :   could it be a zit?
User :   same as surrounding skin
Doctor :   is there any discharge associated?
User :   nope
Doctor :   when was your last intercourse?
Doctor :   and when did you notice it to appear?
User :   noticed it like 10 min ago i feel like it appeared outta nowhere
User :   2 weeks ago was my last intercourse, with my wife
User :   who was a virgin before me and im not at all concerned about her being unfaithful
Doctor :   do you have a single sexual partner?
User :   she is actually a medical student at XXXXXXXX XXXXXXX
Doctor :   ok
User :   i have had intercourse with someone else before...in january
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   as far as the 'bump' is concerned your past intercourse with someone else may not significant now, unless if was unprotected one
User :   another thing...its in the same place that kinda gets "worn" from masterbation if i am not using lotion or nething
Doctor :   if this goes away without any sequelae, then you can leave it alone as getting zits in penis is common once in way they appear and resolve on their own
User :   sequelae?
Doctor :   if you do have any foul discharge, or smell associated with your secretions from penis (precum and semen), then you would need to get it examined
Doctor :   and treated as found necessary after examination
User :   no discharge....i shoudln't try to pop it or anything should i? it looks like it may have a tiny little white head but like i said its so small on its own that i can't even tell
Doctor :   you can leave it alone, do not pop it.
Doctor :   it should go away on its own if it is a zit
Doctor :   if it persists for more than 5 days, or grows in size, get it examined.
User :   do you think it may be herpes or HPV? i mean i understand its a possiblity but based on my description how likely do you think it is?
Doctor :   not until your wife is having it
Doctor :   if it is suspected, then it can be identified
Doctor :   by doing a serological tset for the HPV
Doctor :   *test
User :   okay so...if ive had this before, about a year or two ago, and even had sex with my wife with it and she hasn't had anything, the likelyhood of it being an STD is slim yes?
Doctor :   yes, it is
Doctor :   if you both have had single partners and have been faithful to each other
User :   fantastic..so just wait till it goes away, but if it gets a discharge that smells bad, or gets bigger, see a doctor?
Doctor :   the possibility of STD can be ruled out
Doctor :   yes, if there is any discharge that smells bad, or the 'bump' gets bigger, visit your physician/doctor
Doctor :   is there anything else i can help you with?
User :   and if its a zit, and say it has a puss discharge like a zit on the face that doesnt smell bad, and then goes away im fine? sorry im just nervous...u hear so many horror stories about STD's
Doctor :   if it develops pus discharge like in face
Doctor :   get it examined
User :   okay well thank you so much for your assistance! I appreciate it
Doctor :   it will require to be treated, as the skin is not same there as your face
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me. Bye for now. Please chat with our doctors 24/7 for medical queries. Please refer your friends to our service
