Doctor :   HI
User :   hi
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   I have a question about my scalp and skull
Doctor :   Please proceed with your query.
User :   when I press my scalp it's hard and doesn't go in
User :   is that normal?
User :   I heard from someone that your scalp has to be soft and stuff
Doctor :   Scalp contains a thin layer containing skin and soft tissue. It measures only a few cms (1 or 2 cms) thick
Doctor :   So ideally, when you press your scalp, you may not be able to feel any thing other than the skull bone beneath the scalp.
User :   i see
User :   so it's normal to not go in (or be spongy) right?
Doctor :   Yes. it is normal if you are not feeling it spongy.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   so when they say 'soft, nice scalp', they are just talking about the quality of the skin?
Doctor :   I would not be concerned with the texture and consistency of the scalp,
User :   howcome?
Doctor :   if you do not have any symptoms such as itching, mass or hair loss.
User :   then, it means your hair and scalp are healthy?
User :   regardless of the 'softness' or 'hardness'?
Doctor :   I would be concerned if you have any other issues such as dandruff, lumps, itching, rashes, hair loss(areas of baldness) and other visual symptoms.
User :   so when I feel my head and find some bumpy stuff
Doctor :   Yes, this is regardless of the consistency of the scalp.
User :   those are just the way my head is formed?
User :   no dandruff or dead cells but feels a bit bumpy from here to there
Doctor :   If the consistency of the scalp is uniform at all areas, it is most likely to be part of the bony scalp
Doctor :   and nothing major.
User :   like your sutures ?
User :   skull sutures I mean
Doctor :   But if you find that those bumpy areas are less firmer than the other areas, then that could be a mass.
User :   nope they are not
Doctor :   Human skull like your face and other structures need not be identical/uniform.
User :   i see
User :   then what I feel on my head is probably coronal suture or something right?
User :   or some skull bone?
Doctor :   So the bumps that you see, if they feel the same as other areas are part of the skull malformation.
User :   ah~
User :   skull malformation
User :   I see
Doctor :   malformation, I mean a normal one.
User :   right
Doctor :   Not something which is abnormal.
User :   and many others have it too right?
Doctor :   Just as you may not have a nose same as any other individual, similarly are these bumps.
Doctor :   yes, other may have them too.
Doctor :   At the region of sutures, the scalp is thinner
Doctor :   so, it can feel different.
User :   i see
Doctor :   Again, this is also normal and you need not worry.
User :   Okay doc
Doctor :   Hope it is clear to you.
User :   thanx a lot
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   yes it's clear
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   that's it I guess
User :   it says I have two more sessions left
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
User :   does it mean I can come back again
User :   20 minutes, 3 sessions
Doctor :   It means that you can relogin thrice in 20 minutes.
User :   oh i see
User :   oh and one last question doctor
Doctor :   This session (3 sessions) is valid for 20 minutes alone.
User :   i see
User :   I still have 2 more minutes left
Doctor :   Yes.
Doctor :   You do have some time left.
User :   When I see the middle part of my hair, it has a long line
Doctor :   So please proceed with your query.
User :   I mean
User :   long bald? line
Doctor :   Do you separate your hair in the middle while combing?
User :   yes
User :   and when I tie my hair too
Doctor :   This is the result of this act, which you have been doing it for long time.
User :   ah i see
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   nope that's it
User :   thank ou!
User :   you
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
