User :   When I was pregnant (over 5 Years ago) I developed a vericose vein on my labia. Once I delivered the baby it mostly went awat but was still slightly raised during my cycle etc. Yesterday I ran and road bikes with my kids and this morning I wake up and it looks like a severe black bruise along the same area? What has happened?
User :   hello
Doctor :   Bruising can happen from compression of the varicose veins
User :   ok will it go away? is it anything to be concerned about?
Doctor :   The brusing will infiltation of bllod intio the skin
User :   it is now swollen and black and blue like a bruise, but i should just trest it like a normal bruise? even though there was/is a vericose vcein there?
Doctor :   The blood will be reaborbed
Doctor :   It will rsolve
User :   ok so did the vericose vein burst? and of so does it still come back?
Doctor :   Yes they do burst
Doctor :   They do come back
Doctor :   There are valves in veins
Doctor :   Valves are affected
User :   alright. is there anything i can do in the meantime to make it go away any faster?
Doctor :   When there is excess stress on veins, due to gravity , they will cause pooling
User :   i guess since it is never really raised i am surprised it burst but I guess you are saying it is "normal" and it will go away. Now that it has burst, when it heals, will it be more raised or probaby go back the way it was?
Doctor :   They will regress
Doctor :   Bleeding - even with minor trauma, the varicose vein may be associated with bleeding. Because the vein is under high pressure, the bleeding can be quite profuse.
Doctor :   Less severe version of blleding is brusing
Doctor :   Ok
User :   ok so no major cause for concern then? it wil heal and there isnt anything i can do in the meantime,
Doctor :   I am not aware of any surgical treatemt for varocose veins in labia
Doctor :   no
Doctor :   yes
Doctor :   it will heal
User :   thank you, and you cant do any of the normal treatments huh?
User :   well thankfully it will heal. Thaks for the help.
Doctor :   Apply cold compress 20 min on and 20 min off
Doctor :   rest the area
Doctor :   If u have pain take only Tylenol
Doctor :   Thank you
Doctor :   Take care
Doctor :   Bye
