Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   what symptoms do you have ?
User :   Hi
User :   I have dry eyes but my doctor said that is from my eyes not closing at night. so I
User :   use drops during the day and at night. They do not bother me at all. I was having
trouble with dry mouth 6 months ago and I found out that my vitamin d was very low once I corrected that all problems went away. On April 16 2010 I noticed my lips feeling
Doctor :   ok
User :   dry and my mouth alittle dry. So of course I have started to worry again.
Doctor :   was parotid gland scntillography test done ?
User :   no, no other testing was done. Because at the time all symptoms went away.
Doctor :   sjogrens syndrome cannot be diagnosed by mere presence of symptoms and with the blood tests
Doctor :   and sjogrens syndrome do not have any specific treatment it is only symptomatic treatment
Doctor :   apart from the discomfort of dryness there will be no much problem from the sjogrens syndrome
Doctor :   in the blood test provided
Doctor :   the titers are too low to say that there is sjogrens syndrome
User :   My family physican and the ENT doctor I went to see said the tests were negative.
User :   Would that be correct with the scores of the testing?
Doctor :   yes the scores of the test is too low to say that there is possibility of sjogrens syndrome. meaning the test is negative
User :   do you suggest that I get a lip biopsy to rule out completely?
Doctor :   lip biopsy only show the collection of the lymphocytes.
Doctor :   whether it is necessary or not that will be decided by your treating physician
User :   Ok. I do feel good right not. I do not feel sick. I take thyroid medication
Doctor :   ok
User :   and my TSH was .24 and my T3 was 3.7. Do you think that possibly this is causing
User :   some of the problems?
Doctor :   i dont think it is the cause for the dryness
User :   How about would being low in b12 cause some of these symptoms?
Doctor :   low b12 will have different problems not the dryness
Doctor :   it will cause megaloblastic anemia
User :   what is that?
Doctor :   blood test would have revealed it
User :   Ok, what tests do you suggest that I get? To rule this out?
Doctor :   did you get the general blood test done ?
User :   Yes I had a CBC done and it was normal.
Doctor :   that test will show up this if it would have been there
User :   So if i had sjorgens something would of shown in blood test or are you saying
Doctor :   also you cannot make a diagnosis on yourself by looking into the stuff on the internet
User :   meagaoblic would of shown up?
Doctor :   you need to follow the doctor advise
User :   Ok will do that.
Doctor :   there are many causes for the dryness of mouth and eye ranging from the sjogrens syndrome to anxiety
Doctor :   excess alcohol consumption also do cause dryness
User :   I do not drink at all
Doctor :   and in some cases there may be no cause found for the dryness
User :   So it may just go away just like it did before. Because I have wondered just by
User :   be worrying about this disease have I made my mouth dry by that?
Doctor :   yes
User :   Ok Thank you for your time.
Doctor :   as i said even anxiety also can cause dry mouth
Doctor :   thanks for consulting health care magic
Doctor :   bye for now
