User :   I am male. I had unprotected (vaginal) sex with a woman on the 14th of June. I started freaking out because I thought I had contracted an STD, so I called her and she said she was clean. I started giving myself panic attacks at the thought of having something you cannot cure, such as herpes or HIV and it disrupted my sleep and screwed with me, I kept breaking out in sweats, getting really hot, everything you'd expect from an anxiety attack. This went on for four days, and I finally went to the doctor to be tested for everything.
All the tests came back normal, but I've read that the herpes serology test isn't accurate unless the antibodies for HSV2 are in your system.
About 30 minutes ago, being paranoid as I am, I was checking the area around my anus and found a single red bump and I'm absolutely terrified this is going to turn into a blister shortly. I think I'm overanalyzing myself, because now I'm seeing a full blown herpes attack inside my anus and I'm pretty sure that's just what an anus looks like.
I know logically there are two outcomes here
1) she was telling the truth, the serology test was correct, I'm freaking myself out, I have a red bump near my anus.
2) she is lying or doesn't know she has HSV2, the serology test was taken too soon, and the red bump near my anus is the first blister in my primary herpes outbreak.
Questions I really need answer:
How likely is it that an anal herpes outbreak can happen as the primary herpes outbreak if I've never had anal sex?
Will the primary herpes outbreak only ever happen where the virus entered the body?
How soon does a herpes blister form once you've spotted the red bump?
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   let me read
Doctor :   you have a single red bump ?
User :   yes
Doctor :   you made a self diagnosis of it is herpes infection ?
User :   yes, I've been assuming from the beginning that it is herpes
Doctor :   this is what happens if you are to much afraid of some thing.
Doctor :   first of all herpes blisters do occur in corps
Doctor :   meaning in groups
User :   typically, yes
User :   but they can be single blisters, too
User :   can you answer any of my questions above?
Doctor :   herpes do occur in small groups of fluid filled blisters
Doctor :   they are painful
Doctor :   there will be redness of the surrounding skin
Doctor :   it takes 3 to 14 days for the blister to appear from the day of exposure
User :   again, can you answer any of my questions above?
Doctor :   yes i am answering the above questions did you follow?

Doctor :   How likely is it that an anal herpes outbreak can happen as the primary herpes outbreak if I've never had anal sex?
Doctor :   for this the answer is
Doctor :   yes the herpes corps can occur any ware from the genital region to anal region but it is more common on the penis and it is very very less common in the anal region with no anal sex
Doctor :   Will the primary herpes outbreak only ever happen where the virus entered the body?
Doctor :   yes primary herpes means the first time you have got the virus infection and it occurs when the virus enters the body
Doctor :   How soon does a herpes blister form once you've spotted the red bump?
Doctor :   it may take a day to week for the blister to burst from the time there is a red bump and it is usually around 3 days
User :   so the only thing I can really do here is wait
User :   and see if this red bump turns into a blister
Doctor :   single red bump is very unlikely a herpes
