Doctor :   hello
Doctor :   I am
user. This is a bit odd ;)
User :   But hello!
Doctor :   tell me your query ?
Doctor :   its ok
Doctor :   How may i help you?
User :   Okey, first I have to warn you that English is not my first language, so I might mess up on medical terms. We don't have this service in Norway.
User :   Anyways
Doctor :   thats ok
User :   I am having some pain in my shoulder that I am a bit worried about
Doctor :   may i know your age and gender please
User :   At first I just figured that the shoulder was strained from falling asleep on a very uncomfortable sofa
User :   oh, ok. female, 33
User :   The arm is fine when I hold it still, but I cannot move it much and have some trouble putting on clothes. It started yesterday but got worse today. Now the pain seems to be buzzing to the neck and down the arm as well.
Doctor :   so ti had happened since 2 days ?
User :   yes
Doctor :   so is the pain localized or moving ?
Doctor :   have you had ant tingling sensation in your arm >?
User :   Localized, I think. On the outside of the left shoulder. No tingling. I wouldn't think much of it, but I also have this problem with swellings under my armpits.
Doctor :   Both your armpits ?
User :   Not sure if it relates to sebaceous glands or nymp nodes. my doctor gave me liquid antibiotics
User :   yes
User :   I noticed just now that the swelling under the left arm had "broken" and started bleeding
Doctor :   ok
User :   That has happened before, though. so now I am a bit worried about these issues being related
Doctor :   well what you are telling me are signs of infection
User :   Oh, I really hoped it was just tendonitis :)
Doctor :   well but armpits swelling and bleeding point to the infection
User :   will the pain be on the outside of the shoulder then?
User :   it does not hurt at all under the armpit surrounding the swollen gland
Doctor :   ok now what has happened is that there are 2 problems that have overlapped
Doctor :   you did mention on sleeping on a uncomfortable sofa ?
User :   that is what I am hoping :)
User :   yes
User :   but the pain did not start until the day after
User :   two days after sleeping on the bad sofa, that is
Doctor :   and the wrong posture has caused a nerve to impinge
User :   okey
Doctor :   meaning compressed
Doctor :   so for that you need rest
User :   ok. So if, in a worst case scenario, this was a serious inflammation, I would get a fever?
Doctor :   and for the swelling under your armpits you would require a course of antibiotics
Doctor :   yes fever is a sign of inflammation

Doctor :   so its mild and a simple course on antibiotics will take care of it
User :   ok, so I don't have to worry about going to the doctor until I have a serious fever?
Doctor :   well i am sorry to tell you then you do need to go to a doctor as the sooner the infection is cought the sooner you will recover
Doctor :   we dont want it to spread right
Doctor :   ?
User :   but are you now saying that it is likely that the two symptoms are related? or do you refer simply to the swellings, not the pain in the shoulder?
User :   Because I already have antibiotics for the swellings
Doctor :   which ones are you taking ?>?
User :   my doctor told me that there was nothing else to do about them
User :   hmm let me check
Doctor :   sure
User :   dalacin
User :   liquid
Doctor :   thats perfect
Doctor :   and for how long ?
User :   I have had the problem for seven years, maybe, but been using the antibiotic just for the last year. I don't want to use too much of it because I get diarreah
Doctor :   please do add yogurt in your diet
Doctor :   that will take care of antibiotic induced diarrhea
User :   ok, I will! but is it really wise to use too much antibiotics
User :   I am also worried about resistance or how you would say it
Doctor :   they are like a necessary evil . i am sorry to say but the benefits are more than the side effects
User :   I mean that they can lose effect if you use them too much
Doctor :   well you do need them right now
User :   hehe yes.
User :   do you have any long term advice for the swellings?
Doctor :   the swelling is a body alarm clock to tell you ... that you have a infection
Doctor :   you can prevent it by improving your immune system
User :   ok
Doctor :   please make sure you have good dose of vitamin c in your det
Doctor :   diet **
User :   ok
Doctor :   like lemon and oranges
User :   yes
Doctor :   well i can assure you that you have nothing serious to worry about
Doctor :   avoid the sofa .... as you do know a right posture is must
User :   I didn't actually think so, but I figured it was better asking someone than googling it all night and recognizing all kinds of symptoms ;)
Doctor :   well you followed the right approach as the internet can be very misleading at times
User :   Yeah, all of a sudden you have cancer ;)
Doctor :   rest is crucial
Doctor :   do you have any sudden weight loss ?
User :   no, or well, I have had weight loss, but because I have been dieting and working out
Doctor :   thats good
Doctor :   just dont exert much on your shoulder
User :   ok, I will try
User :   does it mean that I should keep it completely still?
Doctor :   The more rest you give the speedier will be the recovery
User :   ok. a sling maybe?
Doctor :   that will be good option
Doctor :   also
