User:I am a post-surgery patient who has sprained the ankle that was repaired by Campbell's in Collierville, TN. We received snow and ice overnight and I cannot connect with my surgeon, her assistant, the appointment desk or the general number listed on-line. Life goes on and patients need their doctors even in inclement weather. What can I do?
Doctor:In my opinion, it is best for you to go to the emergency right away
Doctor:If you still have the plate and twisted your leg, there is a possibility of that plate causing damage
Doctor:so it best to go to the ER and get an X-ray done to rule out anything major
Doctor:if there is nothing major, then you can continue with Ice application(about 3 to 4 times day, for 10 minute periods)
Doctor:and you can also take pain killers like diclofenac or aceclofenac
User:My right ankle is sprained, I cannot drive. I need anti-inflammatories and pain meds to be called in for delivery until I can get to her office when she reopens,
User:I cannot believe she has no answering service,
Doctor:I understand that you are not in a position to drive
Doctor:It is unfortunate
Doctor:You should call in an ambulance or you should ask one of your friends to drive you to the nearest ER
User:What are diclofenac or aceclofenac
Doctor:they are pain medicines
Doctor:they are available on prescription only
Doctor:for the time being however, you can take motrin
User:Can you prescribe?
Doctor:I am sorry, we can not prescribe medicine online
Doctor:we are not permitted by the law to prescribe online
User:Thank you for your time,
Doctor:You are welcome
Doctor:please get one of your friends to drive you to an ER
Doctor:Thanks for using the service
