Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :
How can I help you?
User :   hi

Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
Proceed with your query
User :   3 days back I got a shooting pain in my stomach. This pain is not continous, I mean when I stand up, when I breath when I walk , I feel terrible
Doctor :   Ok

User :   It was exactly in the middle of stomach
Doctor :   Ok

User :   today, it is not so terrible, but it is still there, but now pain is not exactly in middle
User :   it is shifted a litle to left
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :
I was about to ask that
Doctor :   Did you have fever, vomiting?
User :   ok
User :   no
Doctor :   Fine

Doctor :
May I know your age?
User :   27
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
Do you consume alcohol?
User :   never
Doctor :
Do you smoke?
User :   nop
Doctor :   Good

Doctor :
So now coming to the pain
Doctor :
was it very severe?
User :   very severe when it appeared for the first time, even I cant breath
Doctor :   Ok
User :   FYI, this has happened a few times in past too
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
Had you consulted a doctor at that time?
User :   no :(
Doctor :   Ok

User :   it used to get fine in a couple of days
User :   but this time , it is fourth day
Doctor :   I would advise you to get an ultrasound scan done for this issue
User :   ok
Doctor :
and the likely possiblities I am thinking of is about a Renal calculi and Pancreatitis
Doctor :
I would like to ask you if you have got a surgery done before?
User :   yes, apendicites
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
Is this in the same area, by any chance?
User :   no
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
Also I would like to know if you have any gastric problem?
User :   yes, some times. I was about to inform you on that.
Doctor :   Ok

User :   it seems as if I have something inside , like a gas baloon, which is stuck there
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
So how is it controlled?
User :   I never took any medicine for this. As I said, it used to get cured by itself in a couple of days
User :   however this time , it is taking time
Doctor :
Ok
User :   I am very much scared, God forbid, is it going to be something serious
Doctor :
Gastric problem is unlikely to have such severe pains
Doctor :
unless it is a ulcer
Doctor :
So first an Ultrasound would be helpful
Doctor :
and do not postpone it
User :   I understand
User :   will Ultrasound detect stomach ulcer?
Doctor :   No

Doctor :
for the other 2 causes it is helpful
User :   ok
User :   so how I can check for stomach ulcers
Doctor :   If you are having pain in the upper stomach

Doctor :
that too more of a burning type
Doctor :
then it is likely
Doctor :
to be a gastric one
Doctor :
otherwise it is rare
Doctor :
So first go for ultrasound
Doctor :
Gastric ulcer can be detected by an Endoscopy
Doctor :

User :   got it Sir
User :   I think this is the first thing I would do in the morning.
Doctor :   Is there any thing else I can help you with?

User :   that is it
User :   Thanks for your help
User :   Bye
