User :   Hi, may I answer your health quer
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   Dr.XXX here
Doctor :   please proceed with your health query
User :   Hi, I have been getting pain in my head from time to time and I think it might be from stress or worrying
User :   I'm worried I have a blood clot or something
Doctor :   when are the headaches worse?
Doctor :   have you tried to see if there is any relation to increased stress levels or uncomfortable situations?
User :   when I'm around people or feel uncomfortable (I have social anxiety-or something like it), its mostly starts with pain in my eyes, I always have pain in my eyes (not always but often)
Doctor :   please provide your age, gender, height and weight.
User :   its a sharp pain in my head, it was pretty bad tonight when I was playing basketball
User :   male/22/6'4"/215
Doctor :   does the pain stay in one area? or does it radiate towards other areas too?
Doctor :   which part of the head is mostly affected?
User :   It's in my eye area or sharp pain above (not on) my temples
Doctor :   ok. do you mean to say that you have pain just above your eyes and not the fore head exactly
User :   yeah, more above my eyes, but not so much the upper forehead
User :   or back of my eyes
Doctor :   is there any sensation like nausea or sensitivity to light, or any feeling associated that indicates you that headache is going to or about to start?
User :   no its kind of hard to tell when its going to start, I don't have any nausea or sensitivity to light, but I am on the computer a lot for school and work
Doctor :   do you feel that you have more frequent episodes when you have chocolate or cheese containing foods?
Doctor :   do you use spectacles? if yes, when was the last check-up done?
User :   no, I rarely eat chocolate and not very much cheese
User :   no I don't, I got my eyes checked because they were always hurting and I got prescribed reading glasses, but my eyes were pretty good..I have stopped wearing them since
Doctor :   ok. here I would recommend these to be done
Doctor :   1) get a eye check/opthalmology examination done again.
Doctor :   2) get hormones tested especially for thyroid since you have pain mostly behind the eyes
User :   where would I get that done?
Doctor :   3) the headache that you describe suggests tension headache, which will need further evaluation to make sure there is no other serious problems associated.
Doctor :   the tests can be done in any standard laboratory
User :   tension meaning it is from stress or worrying?
Doctor :   for combating the headache, try these steps and see if they improve
Doctor :   yes, mostly like it
User :   what could the thyroid problem be?
Doctor :   1) get to relaxation zone, with stepping out of the situation that precipitated headache
Doctor :   2) listen to music, play some games, go out for stroll, or take warm bath
Doctor :   3) take Tab Tylenol at the start of headache before it gets worse
Doctor :   4) do not leave stomach empty for more than 3 hours at a stretch except when you are sleeping
Doctor :   the thyroid problem could be related to hy[perthyroid issues
Doctor :   where the eyes symptoms are more prominent
User :   does it sound like it may be something serious? if so, is it treatable..such as the thyroid problem?
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
Doctor :   yes, early diagnosis and early start of treatment always helps
User :   yes, I have, I will do those things
Doctor :   is there anything else I can help you with?
User :   No, thank you for your help. One more question, could it have anything to do with the computer screen?
Doctor :   it could be possible
Doctor :   use antiglare screen or specs
Doctor :   they also help if it is related to computer
User :   ok :) you've been a great help thanks
Doctor :   use correct posture when sitting at computer
User :   will do
Doctor :   maintain good distance of 18" between monitor and eyes
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me. bye for now.
