Doctor :   In Beta Thalessemia and this trait you have usually smaller RBC and it is very common for them to have Liver Dysfunction due to extra load on the liver due to RBC problems .
User :   Is it harmful for his future life
Doctor :   Actually it causes no acute health concerns.
User :   Can he live normal life
Doctor :   But frequent liver dysfunction or splenic overload is common.
User :   Can he live normal life
Doctor :   Yes absoloutely unless he is diagnosed with any other heamatlogical disease like thallesemia or s-cell disease co-existing.
User :   Any thing extra care for his liver problem
Doctor :   I would say that he takes a Hep.B and Hep.A vaccination when his SGOT,SGPT & S.Albumin levels are normal.
Doctor :   2. Takes low fatty diets, low oily diets to take care of the liver as body's fatty metabolism is done by liver.
User :   Any thing for his prblem of caugh & cold and Sneezing
Doctor :   3. Take more of iron rich diets to replenish loss of smaller RBC frequently.
Doctor :   4. Takes lots of fruits, fresh veggies and juices as they are good anti-oxidants.
Doctor :   Regarding his cough, cold & sneezings , it is a totally different entity.
User :   If any further investigation for his liver problem
Doctor :   Need to find out the following : Doctor :   1.Hemoglobin E trait means that your child has inherited one gene for
the usual hemoglobin (A) from one parent and one gene for hemoglobin
E from the other parent OR
Doctor :   2. When a child inherits the gene for hemoglobin E from both parents
rather than hemoglobin A, the child has homozygous (the same genes
for) hemoglobin E. People with homozygous hemoglobin E have no
serious health problems, but it may cause a mild anemia (low number
of red blood cells).
Doctor :   This is imporatnt not for your child but for the future genration so that it does not complicate int o e-beta thalessemia.
User :   Can he marry
Doctor :   Of course he can.
Doctor :   Nothing is wrong with him.
Doctor :   I want you to understand that he is alright and nothing to worry.
Doctor :   But better test him for what i have suggested.
User :   Many many thanks for this. actually he is my only child.
Doctor :   Not to worry, but pls. get the tests that i have recommende you and thhis one more test : Doctor :   Your child does not have hemoglobin E-beta thalassemia, but future
children and other family members may be at risk for having it. When
a person has hemoglobin E-beta thalassemia, they inherit one gene
for hemoglobin E from one parent and one gene for "beta thalassemia"
(low production of hemoglobin) from the other parent. These two
genes together cause a life-threatening disease with no known
universal cure. There are some therapies, like blood transfustions,
that are necessary to help prevent complications, but hemoglobin Ebeta thalassemia is a serious life-long disease requiring medical care.
Doctor :   Thank you for consulting me.
User :   So can live normal life
Doctor :   Take care, bye for now.yes.
Doctor :   yes, but get the testd oen
