Doctor :   hi
Doctor :
how can i help u?
User :   Hi thereâ?¦sorry this may be long. I am a female and my age is 19. About one month ago I had a Medical abortion, In my next check up it was seen on the ultrasound that i still had parts left in me. So I was then put on a 5 day course of Methergine to push the remains out and to stop my bleeding. I also got a small infection but it has gone now. Also my bleeding has not stopped but is much lighter now. Today I went for one more check up and they saw on the ultrasound that I still have pieces left in me, which is 10 mm wide. I was told that a scraping is needed but my other doctor said no it is not needed because scrapings should only be done if the matter is 11 mm. So I was told that I should wait for my period which will be in a month then they will prescribe me tablets again to push it out. I think I should just get the scrape so I can avoid any chance of infections. What do you think of my story ?

Doctor :
cos remains of the fetus inside the uterus is very dangerous
Doctor :
it may some times lead to clotting disroders also
User :   I really don't want sepsis or any other infection
Doctor :
its better if u get scarpings done
Doctor :   ok
User :   the gynie told me it is not necessary bcoz its only 10mm
User :   surely though one mm difference wont affect me if i get the scraping
Doctor :   yes
User :   she just said wait for your period but she has no idea when that will be
Doctor :
if it was around 3-6mm then nothing to worry
Doctor :
when was ur last period?
User :   techinaclly my last period was 2months ago but i have been bleeding from my abortion so its hard for me 2 tell when my next one is
Doctor :
oh ok

Doctor :
then no one can tell about ur periods
