Doctor :   hi
User :   hello
Doctor :   i think there was some technical issue before
User :   yeah there was
Doctor :   yes please proceed
Doctor :
what was ur xray report?
User :   I had to sets of xrays taken
User :   one was of my hips to rule out SCFE
Doctor :
ok
User :   the radiologist said my hip was fine
User :   well the doctor
Doctor :
ok
User :   so then i took another set at an ortho, for leg length discrepancy
Doctor :
ok
User :   for the first consultation he did noticed a significant difference. but he wanted to take x rays and in two weeks i went back and he said there was no difference
Doctor :
ok
User :   He told me I was fine and to simply put an insole in the shoe of my "shorter" leg
Doctor :
ok
User :   but at the chiropractor he took his own. i was standing up for them and he noticed a hip misalignment
Doctor :   ok

User :   Would a hip misalignment explain why i feel more stress on my leg?
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
first what are ur symptoms?
User :   When I walk i feel as if my left leg is longer than my right
Doctor :
ok
User :   i feel discomfort towards my upperthigh and stiffness in hamstrings
Doctor :
ok
User :   at times towards my gluteus as well
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :   thATS IT?

User :   more recently I've felt some pain on my ribs on the left
User :   That's all
Doctor :
ur xray was norma?
Doctor :
hip malalignment will defnetly cause the symptoms u are talking
User :   The xrays from the chiropractor showed a hip misalignment
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
how come 2 xrays are different?
User :   I have no idea
Doctor :
cos wether it is chiro or doctor it is technician who takes the xray
User :   Would xrays of my hip taken laying down come out normal whether there was a misalignment or not?
Doctor :   there will not be much difference
Doctor :
between the two postures
Doctor :
which doctor has orderd slepeping posture?
User :   the ortho
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
according to me it is better u go by ortho rather than chiro
Doctor :
but coming to symptoms..from how many days u are having thi sproblem?
User :   4 months
Doctor :
if u have had malalignment u should have got the symptoms long back
Doctor :
u are 18 years right
Doctor :
?
User :   yes
Doctor :
only from past 4 months u are feeling that one leg is longer than other?
User :   One day I was carrying something back and forth on a slanted surface and all of a sudden a felt a difference in leg length
User :   yes
Doctor :
did any of ur friends told u aboutr this?
User :   no
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
this difference in lenght which u are talking will defnetly be shown in the xray of the hip
Doctor :   as this is due to the tilt in the pelvis
Doctor :
when the pelvis is tilted to one side then one side will be shorter than other
User :   So what is it that I should do
User :   I started going to the chiropractor but he seems more concerned with my scoliosis
Doctor :   lone ast question ,u have mentioned about slipped capital femoral epiphysis right?
User :   yes
User :   SCFE was ruled out
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
scoliosis did he order for xray spine also?
User :   yes the ortho did
User :   chiro*
Doctor :
what did he tell?
User :   the ortho never ordered an xray of the spine
User :   only the chiro
User :   the ortho simply looked at my spine and made me bend down
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
then after seing the xray spine he diagnosed about scoliosis?
User :   yes
User :   he said there was 16degrees
Doctor :   oh ok

Doctor :
did u find any bend in ur spine ?
User :   well the chiro showed me the xrays
Doctor :
ok
User :   and i did noticed a bit of misalignment of the spine as well as degenerating disk in the lumbad region
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :
fine
User :   lumbar
Doctor :
did u find any curvature?
User :   well personally i dont know too much on detecting scoliosis
User :   but it did seem out of place
Doctor :
no no,just that when u observed xray have u seen any side ways curvature?
User :   yes
User :   lumbra region
User :   lumbar
Doctor :
oki
User :   if im not mistaken it was curving towards the right
Doctor :
degenerating disc in lumbar region?
User :   yes
Doctor :
ok
User :   another symptom was a loss of height
Doctor :
now ur problem is scoliosis at the lumbar region with degenrative discs
Doctor :
and also malalignment of the hip
User :   but why didn't it show up in the orthos xrays
Doctor :
Degenerative disc disease can result from trauma (either acute or chronic/repetitive),
Doctor :   infection, or the natural processes of aging.
Doctor :   that is what even ia m wondering ,
Doctor :
u are too young to get degeneration of dics
Doctor :
did u have any trauma recently or in the past?
User :   no
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
degenration of disc is seen mostly in old age
Doctor :
or else those who work a lot
Doctor :
or else spinal infection
Doctor :
one thing is i can tell u the treatment options for ur problem
Doctor :
but i cannot tell u y the xrays are different as i havent seen those xrays
Doctor :   i know u would have already been tired of this
User :   personally, the xrays the ortho took seemed like there was a isalignment
Doctor :
but my strict advice is go for second opinion from an ortho
Doctor :
but thats just my advice
User :   would there be any surgical method to correct the alginment of the hip
Doctor :
being an ortho he cannot miss such acrucial diagnosis
Doctor :
yes
Doctor :
but first u should try non surgical methods
Doctor :
like exerscises ,electrotherapy..
Doctor :
some times it itself will cause misalignment to be proper
User :   and chiro's dont offer that?
User :   what do you mean?
Doctor :   yes they do offer
User :   a misalignment could correct itself?
Doctor :   no no
Doctor :
after electrotherapy and exersxises it will correct
User :   oh
Doctor :
that is the method normally followed
User :   i do have one set of xrays on me but i dont see how you could take a decent look at them
Doctor :
hmm..
Doctor :
if it is possible u scan them and send to my id
Doctor :   i will read them and tell my opinion after that u can decide
User :   well xxrays are huge films
User :   i will try
Doctor :
rather than scan if u have a didgi cam take pics and send to my id
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :
YYYY@YYYY is my id
Doctor :
i will send my opinion through mail
User :   ok
Doctor :
is it fine with u?
User :   yes
Doctor :
good
Doctor :
is there anything else i can help u?
User :   no
User :   that is all
Doctor :
when are u gonna send the xray?
User :   i will send them in about 10 minutes
Doctor :
