User :   Ok, So I am freaking out, because I believe I have either a yeast infection, or hiv

User :   I dont know, I am freaking myself out, thinking the worst

User :   January 11 was my last sexual contact

User :   notice anything bad till a month ago

User :   could that be just a plain yeast infection though?

Doctor :   we do not see yeast infection in normal individuals, we see only in immuno-compromised individuals.

Doctor :   One last question, Did you have unprotected sexual intercourse ?
User :   no, none at all
Doctor :   Any time in the recent past ?
User :   never in my life, ive i had unprotected sex
Doctor :   So there is nothing to worry , in that case.
Doctor :   If you still want to be doubly sure , then you can go ahead and get the following test done as it has been already 2 months ;
Doctor :   As the window for HIV & HEP.B is two months
Doctor :   1.HIV-ELISA
Doctor :   2.HBS Ag Test
User :   what do you think my sypmtoms are meaning then, what are the possibilities
Doctor :   These 2 need a window period from 2 months to a max. 6 months
Doctor :   Did you have any sores apart from the dryness on penis and discharge ?

Doctor :   It could be a simple cadidiasis infection or yeast infection or can be sometimes a super added bacterial infection .

User :   no, last testing I got was blood and urine
User :   I tested negative for everything, and this was like a week after my last protected sex

Doctor :   I would advise you the following tests so that we can pin pointedly diagnose the causative organism and proceed with the treatment accordingly.
Doctor :   1.Swab culture of the affected Penile surface
Doctor :   2. Sensitivity test
Doctor :   Has a test for HSV Antibodies been done in your blood test ?
User :   no idea
