User :   alcohol---- 2-3 beers or 4 pegs wiskey in a week

Doctor :   healthy diet, regular exercise, avoiding/ limiting alcohol intake and giving up smoking( for general better health and to reduce complications)

User :   I heard that taking chapathi in breakfast , lunch and dinner will help very much

Doctor :   plenty of salads, regular fruits and veggies, Low GI foods

Doctor :   like ragi, whole wheat chapatis can help
Doctor :   and regular exercise as well
Doctor :   chapati alone will not help very much-

Doctor :   foods that don't cause your blood sugar to go high suddenly - are low Gi; foods which cause a sudden rise are high GI- like sugar/ sweets etc
