User:my cousin's right fallopian tube is blocked and the formation of egg is in right ovary.
User:is it chance to get pregnent
Doctor:Yes, she can still become pregnant,
Doctor:The left fallopian tube is open, so the egg released from the right ovary can travel to left tube
User:is thr any chance of formation of egg in left ovary
Doctor:And in each cycle one ovary releases one egg
Doctor:So in alternating cycles one ovary does not release the egg
Doctor:there is all the chance of left ovary forming an egg in the next cycle
User:so how can I came to know
Doctor:You can come to know by doing ultrasound scanning every month around day 10 to day 15th of the cycle
User:In last cycle, the formation was in this time whethr it will be frm left
Doctor:Yes, most likely this time it will be in the left ovary
User:on thing, as u told that the can can travel rt.ovary to left it can be possible.
Doctor:once the egg is released, if one tube is blocked then the other tube comes and picks up the egg
Doctor:Its alright I could understand it
User:As she is trying from last 18 months, but no any positive result came
Doctor:What is her age?
Doctor:and when did she get married?
User:27 yrs. .in oct2011
User:in HCG test, report shows that distal patent in left tube...what it exactly means
Doctor:the important thing to understand is that since she has one blocked tube
Doctor:that means her chances of conception are less than normal people who have no blockage
User:Also, right distal fimbrial block, wht it means
Doctor:the best approach would be to try IVF
Doctor:Distal patent tube means the end of left tube is normal
User:IVF means
Doctor:but it can also be interpreted as the proximal(The end attached to the uterus) is blocked
User:u r saying about right or left tube
Doctor:right distal fimbrial block means that the finger like projections at the end of right fallopian tube are blocked
Doctor:IVF means in-vitro fetrilization
User:plz.explain in details
Doctor:that means the fertilization part can be done out side of the body and then this fertilized egg is placed into the uterus where it will grow into a baby
Doctor:Earlier you mentioned that the distal tube is patent on the left side
User:is left tube is completely ok
Doctor:That can mean that the proximal(the end which is towards the uterus) part of the left tube may be blocked
Doctor:as they have not mentioned about the entire tube
Doctor:It will be better if you could type the entire report
Doctor:otherwise I will not be able to know what it means clearly
User:ya,plz. wait. I m typing
User:Endocavity:endocavity shape, outline appear indentation marginal irregularity outline seen. no extrinsic pressure effect seen
User:Right Tube: is seen upto distal fimbrial end without spillage to rt. pelvis
Doctor:okay go ahead
User:Left Tube: is well demonstrated upto fimbrial ends. Tube is not dilated and shws regular smooth luminal outline. Free inrestrictd spillage of contrast seen in left pelvic areas
Doctor:This report is of a hysterosalpingogram
User:Impression: Normal Endocavity, Right Distal Fimbrial Block, Patent left tube.
Doctor:this clearly shows that her left tube is perfectly normal
User:But why pregnancy is not happening
Doctor:Pregnancy depends on many factors
Doctor:thyroid problems
Doctor:Blood pressure
Doctor:other hormonal problems
User:USG also done on 23rd day of shows normal
User:no, but Prolactin result came 23.74 in Imuno Assay report
Doctor:Your cousin needs to consult an infertility specialist who can guide her well
User:tell ur best opinion..whthr any proper solution is thr
Doctor:prolactin levels are within normal limits
