User :   Hello
Doctor :   Hi,
Doctor :   Dr xxxx here
User :   Hello Dr. xxxx
User :   I had a question about my 4 month old son
User :   He was born on 23rd June 2010
Doctor :   ok,
User :   And we had circumsized him after 1 week.
User :   And things were fine then
Doctor :   ok,
User :   However of late we have noticed that he is retracting his penis completely inside...
User :   It retracts completely inside..
User :   We were concerned whether this was normal
User :   It remains like that I mean retracted most of the times
Doctor :   Is it that you can retract his foreskin completely ?
User :   Actually circumcision does away with the front foreskin part..
User :   So you can see almost a circular ring like formation in the base of the penis
Doctor :   yes, i do understand ,
User :   That is evident..if we push the skin back...
Doctor :   but what part is getting retracted , can you please explain in detail
User :   ok
User :   The shaft of the penis gets withdrawn inside...
User :   and gets almost completely withdrawn inside...
Doctor :   oh, now i get it
Doctor :   yes, its normal
User :   so unless we push the skin back..his penis remains completely immersed inside..
Doctor :   the spongiosis muscle of the penis in the small children will not be developed ( not made of muscle completely till the age of 1 to 2 years
User :   ok
Doctor :   its completely normal , not all do present this way
User :   ok.. we checked with many people in family..and they had never seen it while raising kids..
User :   hence I wanted to double-check
Doctor :   once the penis gains mature muscle element then he will start having erections and the problem will get resolved
User :   ok
User :   So no need to see a urologist
Doctor :   as i said some do have this kind of presentation
Doctor :   i would consider it would be better to consult the urologist
User :   ok
Doctor :   but i still m in favor of normality
Doctor :   you can go for confirmation
User :   alright
User :   And circumcision has no relation to this?
Doctor :   is there anything i can help you with ?
Doctor :   not at all , the way of circumcision is not related
Doctor :   as the ring of attachment is preserved in the procedure
User :   ok. Thanks. Thanks you for your time. Much appreciated
User :   I have no further questions doctor. Thank you
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   kindly provide your feedback
User :   ok
Doctor :   bye for now
Doctor :   take care
User :   bye
