User :   Hi, I'd like to know more about Respite care options available for my father in (). I have a traveling job and am desperately looking for help.
Doctor :   Hi
User :   hi
Doctor :   How can I help you ?
User :   Hi Dr. My father is 82. He has several complications (chief among them are Diabetes, CKD and Dementia). I would like to assess Respite Care options in bangalore for him
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   As such we Doctors here give medical advise but I would try to help you out considering your father's condition.
User :   We are a working couple with a 2 Y old daughter. i have a traveling profile. my sister has moved in with us to help with our father, but this is not a sustainable solution
User :   thanks I'd appreciate help. we're getting desperate as the situation is deteriorating day by day
User :   we've tried psychiatric counseling, but it has not helped either.
Doctor :   Though The best thing would be to get a nurse and maid at your house itself, if you have tried that option.
User :   unable to get any that can help with his CAPD. Would you be able to recommend any options? On the other hand, my father is beginning to get aggressive with people helping him... affecting our daughter badly so we are considering taking a second flat in our apartment as an option
User :   Was considering the Respite care option as an interim option till we make this arrangement
User :   that would greatly help Dr. I am also open to advise on any other alternatives that we could explore as a family. We are fond of him and would love to care for him, but are unable to deal with the situation that is deteriorating
User :   I did look up - it seems to be only for Cancer patients requiring palliative care
Doctor :   But it is basically for palliative care for end stage cancer patients.
User :   right sir
User :   we would not like to subject him to such mental agony
Doctor :   Just try to find out if you can get from any of these centres.
User :   Are there any other specialists in that you could recommend us to consult?
User :   Also any organisations that supply home nurses who could perform CAPD?
Doctor :   But the best would be to hire a nurse and a maid at your place or wherever for proper care & attention, depends a lot on finances and the competency of the staff.
User :   we are willing to stretch a bit on the finances if we are able to ensure good care and peace of mind for the family
Doctor :   For CAPD you need someone who is very experienced in a Nephrology canter.
Doctor :   *center
User :   any suggestions?
Doctor :   Please do send a mail to the and lets see if we can render any help on this, as it is a very different segment that we dont deal with. But will try our level best to help you out.
User :   Will do that. Thanks for your time Dr.
Doctor :   Please do specify the payment options and phone and mail details.
Doctor :   In the mail.
Doctor :   Thank you for consulting me.
Doctor :   Take care, Bye for now.
