User :   I have kidney stones and the recent scan report says that, one of the stone in renal tube
Doctor :   Ok
User :   I had pain and now the pain is not there
User :   Urologist has advised to have plenty of water

User :   Usually how ling will it take to drain the kidney stone?
User :   I am taking plenty of water since from 2 days

User :   Is there a way to disssolve the kidney stones?
Doctor :   Has he prescribed you any medication ?

User :   1 pain killer , 1 antibotic

Doctor :   Did he tell you the size of the renal stone ?
User :   Can I continue the same of drinking water to flush the stone. Size:5mm

Doctor :   Now the most easiest and fastest way is to flush out by having lot of fluids everyday at least of 6-8 lts. of water/fluid.
Doctor :   If it is of 5mm or below it is very easy to flush it out.

Doctor :   85% of the time, it is possible to pass the stone with urination. Usually this will occur within 72 hours of the start of symptoms.

Doctor :   In most cases, interventions are not needed especially for smaller stones, unless a month goes by and the stone has not moved.
User :   If the stone is there in tube for more than 72 hours, will it cause any problem?
Doctor :   Not an emergency as it would not be obstructing the whole ureters.

Doctor :   Beer is found to be high in potassium and low in its sodium content. It is a rich source of magnesium which results in reduced risk of kidney stones And over and above that is a diuretic. So it would surely prove to be of great help.
Doctor :   Please do try it for one day and give a break and then after another 2 days.
Doctor :   I feel that there is nothing to panic and you will surely pass it very easily.
Doctor :   Straining the urine allows collection of the stone when it passes and analysis of the stone can help establish preventative options.
