User :   hi i had mallet finger i have been wearing a splint since 6 weeks is it safe to take it off now it looks straight i check it out today but its a little swoolen what should i do

u can remove it now..
User :   ok but it is stiff and swollen is that normal

but u should see the orthopaedician first befroe removing
User :   the last time i seen him he said it was healing fine

if it is tendon tear then u shld keep it for 6 to 8 weeks
