Doctor :   How big is the scar and how old is this injury that you are talking about
User :   i got this injury 17 days back
User :   and scar is about 1 inch
Doctor :   Your possible options are corticosteroid creams, laser treatment, or collagen or steroid injections.
Doctor :   Creams may not help you significantly
Doctor :   and since it has been only 17 day from the date of injury
User :   actually i heard there are lotta skin creams in the market like eraser or no marks
Doctor :   i would suggest you to wait since with the passage of time the normal healing itself will get rid of the scar
User :   so i shud not use any cream ?
Doctor :   They would help you if the scar is hyper-pigmented and might bring it to near normal but then getting it to what it was earlier will be tuff
Doctor :   You can give it a try though
Doctor :   but then need to know that it will take time as the normal Collagen will take time to form and after that it will ease out the scar
Doctor :   Alternatively Laser Resurfacing of Collagen injections will do you good

User :   no problem
Doctor :   So is there any thing in particular that you would like to discuss
User :   actually yesterday i went for consultation to a dermatologist
Doctor :   ok
User :   she suggested that i shud use Retino cream
User :   which i had already used when i had pimples during college days
User :   and it wasn't good at my skin
User :   so i got kinda confused
User :   as the scar is only 17 days can i use Eraser cream
Doctor :   Yes that is what i had suggested that it needs to take its own time to heal
User :   will it be helpful
Doctor :   You can try but then you need to understand that the healing needs to be from within that will be after the formation of the collagen tissues only
User :   ok
User :   so u tell me what would you suggest
Doctor :   Will be to wait and let it take time at least 3 months and even after that if the scar does not reduce then you can try the other surgical measures that i have mentioned
Doctor :   Please fill the feedback form say done when done
User :   fine
User :   really appreciate your help
Doctor :   Your are WElcome
