User:wanted to ask on chicken pox scars
User:i had chicken pox in the month of March
User:but some of the scars are still remianing..
User:what ointment should i use
Doctor:The thing is XXXXXXX that many of these scars will fade themselves over a period of time
Doctor:To help hasten things, you can apply any cream with Vitamin E in it
Doctor:Venusia is one such cream available at the chemist
User:can u suggest any name
Doctor:just apply at bedtime
User:i heard about mederma and nomarks...are those good
Doctor:Yes, Mederma is ok
Doctor:But not extremely effective
Doctor:Basic thing is that it heals on its own
User:ok so will try venusia
Doctor:These things only help slightly
User:how long do they normaly take to heal
Doctor:If they dont go away, you will need microdermabrasion or a laser
User:oh ok
Doctor:This will be done by a cosmetic surgeon
Doctor:The time taken will depend on how severe the scars are, the extent of involvement etc
Doctor:It should ordinarily take 2-3 months minimum
