User :   I have just noticed my scrotum is bright red all over. Its not on my penis, but the entire scrotum is bright red. There are a few red dots here and there like little blood blisters but only the size of a pin head. It doesnt really itch much but my scrotum is sticking to my thighs when I sit. Also where the scrotum joins the penis is has a leathery feel and bunches up like a turkey neck. Its sounds bizarre but its serious,. I need your advice
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   Let me read what you have typed
Doctor :   I am Dr. XXXXXXXX here.
User :   hello
Doctor :   since when have you noticed your scrotum being red?
Doctor :   is there burning associated?
User :   just a few days it has been red. but today its leathery and bunches up at the top. plus there is some flaky skin in one pathc near the top
User :   its not really burning much. it was a bit last night but seems to have stopped
Doctor :   ok. do you have lot of sweating around the place?
User :   yes
Doctor :   is there scaling of skin present?
User :   yes in one area. on one side of the scrotum noly
User :   thats the area that was burning last night
User :   now its scally and the skin is flaky
Doctor :   ok. then what you are describing could be a heat rash or atypical herpes
User :   herpes ??
Doctor :   i would suggest you to get examined by your healthcare provider to know what is exactly causing it
Doctor :   they might need to test the flaking/scaling skin to see what it could be
User :   okay i wil do that
Doctor :   yes, herpes can present with red dots over scrotum
Doctor :   if it is a problem due to sweat and bacterial infection, topical creams and lotion will help along with good hygiene
User :   okay thanks for that advice
Doctor :   like washing the area with medicated soap twicea day
Doctor :   if the problem is found to be due to skin problem like psoriasis as evidenced by the test done on the skin flakes/scales, then you will need treatment for it.
Doctor :   and in rare case if it is found to be atypical herpes, you will be put on oral antiviral drugs
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
User :   yes i understand. thank you for that. I will consult my local doctor.
Doctor :   ok. is there anything else I can help you with?
User :   no thats all. thank you.
Doctor :   thanks for consulting me. bye for now.
