User :   my 4 year old has a rash all over his body. some are small red spots..but others are red and swollen with scabs on them(kinda like a spider bite) and some look like little pimples. he doesnt seemed bothered by them. do you know what it might be?

User :   they showed up over night
Doctor :   is there fever associated?
User :   no and he says they dont itch or hurt

Doctor :   you can apply Caladryl lotion and see if they get better.
Doctor :   if they do not get better in 2 days time
User :   i did all day and it didnt seem to effect him
Doctor :   i would recommend you to get them examined by his doctor
Doctor :   to see if any underlying infection could be causing it
User :   okay. i didnt know if i should take him to the er
